"Helpful staff"

"Room was clean, basic, but had all that I needed. Bed was very comfortable but room was initially a little cool. Radiator was adjustable and it soon warmed up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu was varied, food well prepared and nicely presented. Typically pub food. Breakfast freshly cooked to order with good choice of cereals available. Bar well supplied and good, friendly service."

"Good promo prices, we were on the way to somewhere else and it was a 1 night stop. Everything was ok."

The on-site restaurant was lovely, the food was excellent. Location was ideal, near to all the attractions. We found the local pub next door’s very friendly."

"Cannot fault the Halfway House Pub. Stayed here for 4 nights..Friendly welcome shown our room by Mike. All staff friendly and helpful. Room was excellent spotless and uensuite was great. Breakfast was very good. Ate here twice in the evening and food was excellent. Great evening spent listening to the Sea Shanty choir. Dog friendly.. No car park but public car park £5 for 24 hours.
