Our shower had mold on the ceiling and the curtain liner, the jacuzzi tub needed to be cleaned, and the room definitely had a very strong odor. We were only able to get a smoking room and the scent was extremely evident, to the point where it affected sleep and made my clothes smell that I didn't even wear. "Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. The breakfast & snacks and beverages they offer complimentary are a game changer and make the stay that much more relaxing.
