Parque Possum Creek

Before becoming Possum Creek MetroPark, this land was an outdoor recreation area called Argonne Forest, operating from the 1920's to the 1940's. Here are the remains of a streetcar. Null Hodapp, the owner of Argonne Forest Park bought four streetcars from the city of Dayton. He converted one into a concession stand near the pool. Others were used as primitive camping cabins that were rented for $12.00 a month.

Here are the remains of the swimming pool steps and diving platform. The pool was constructed by building retaining walls and a spillway to collect the waters of Possum Creek.
Possum Creek has dirt roads, grass trails, and all sorts of great places for walking, running, biking, etc.
