"Mtsvane" translates to "green" in the Georgian language.

This monastery is a short marshutka or taxi ride from central Borjomi - if you visit, I recommend walking the distance from here to the main monastery.

The Green Monastery is located just outside of the resort city of Borjomi. The monastery itself is a short walk up the dirt road that's visible in this picture.

In order to reach the monastery, you'll have to traverse this road, which is through the woods. It's a pleasant walk.

There are numerous sulphur springs in this park, and the water in the swimming pool here is taken from the sulphur water.
