"Excellent location but disappointingly no more than a 3*. Room decor and furniture very tired. Whole property needs redecoration and carpets throughout. Completely empty minibar and no drinking water in the room. We were sent a message prior to check in from the hotel offering us a room upgrade but wanting to charge us extra if we accepted it. Surely if there were rooms of a better standard unoccupied would it not be a prudent move to offer those to guests paying 4* prices."

"This is a place for when you want to toyally switch off, relax and gave a great nights sleep. Having no TV on the room, meant we went to bed early, heard no a sound all night and came away fully refreshed after one night. There are a couple of nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance and the Thai Orchid is fab."

"Great location for Legoland, city centre and motorway. Room was cleanand comfortable, great breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overall good value, but internet is a tad slow and there is no free hotel parking as wrongly shown on Expedia. There is a council car park, free from 9pm to 9am, easy to find space, but need to be careful with timings"

"This Hotel has always been and will always be my favourite as I got married here. I have returned several times now however despite loving the new colour scheme since the upgrade, I didn’t sleep at all well. From 6.00am the hotel corridor near my door was so noisy and we were woken at 5.30 am to constant noise until 8.00am. We came here for my partners birthday so I was really quite disappointed this time. "
