"Convenience for my purposes (visiting a friend who lives nearby) and price outweigh the initial impression of a slightly seedy block. The reception fellow was pleasant, warm, and observant. He really was the best asset of the motel. Was worried at first about noise from neighbors, but they weren’t an issue after all. Felt safe and slept well. "It felt like a boarding house. No common area to sit on a couch and relax. Our window opened onto an air shaft and no view. Neighborhood parking is nonexistent so only stay if using Uber. The bed and bath were clean. However I would not stay there again."

"What a gem in the heart of SF. Mind you, the neighborhood is a place to keep your head on a swivel but once you get in the doors, the staff has got your back. The room are eclectic and super clean. The bathrooms have the feeling of little apartment living right in the middle of it all. We used Waymo, the self-driving cars to get around, I highly recommend will get you in and out of the sketchy hood :) Will return anytime I’m in SF for sure👍"

"The staff at the front desk was always friendly and helpful, but you needed to go down to the front desk to get help because the phones didn't connect properly. More than half the TV channels didn't work and casting to the TV did not work either (they even let us try in another room... Same, half channels were broken and so was casting). Rooms were Spartan.
