"This a no frills hotel. The room was very large, bathroom was very small. Being above the bar and grill meant music thumping until 2am. The pillows were absolutely the worst. We each, the wife and I, had four pillows. The flattest pillows you could ever imagine. "

"Wonderful stay - perfect for our multi-generational "girl's trip." The staff was responsive and friendly, parking was easy and convenient, neighborhood was quiet but close to lots of restaurants. I won't stay anywhere else if I'm visiting Portland. "

"We booked a premium room with a king size bed, but what we received was a premium room with a queen size bed. When we call the front desk they blamed it on Expedia, and told us to call them. If it was more than and one night stay I would have made a bigger deal about it."

"Adorable Tiny Digs! We thought we’d give it a try. Cute tiny trailers built and decorated into tiny themed rooms. Just a different “little” experience for a one night stay near the Hawthorne neighborhood in Portland. Lots of cute little PROs and not too many CONs. PROs; Our tiny digs (Merlot) was clean, cute, very comfortable. You’re in a locked, fully fenced, secure lot in case you’re worried about that. Tons of great restaurants around in walking distance. We ran into the grounds/house keeper...

"Front desk staff friendly & helpful. Room with a balcony great on a summer night! Room is clean & comfortable. I really appreciate the ceramic mugs & glassware! (I travel often & the trend for paper or styrofoam, even in upscale hotels is tacky & not good for the environment!) lots of dining & shopping options around. The Paramount was a great find. I’ll be back. "

"This hotel was chosen for its location and it worked out well for us. Cost was competitive among others in town. It's the first hotel we ever stayed to have laminated flooring instead of carpet and we liked it. We were provided an accessible room (not needed, so they may have a surplus on that day) and it was plenty spacious. "I really enjoyed my time at the KEX hotel! The rooms were kept nice and the bedding was so good. (I stayed in a shared room) The bathroom was clean, the food was good, the drinks were good! The staff were so kind! The only con is the parking…there isn’t a designated parking lot for the hotel and most of the time i had to circle around to find a spot.
