STAYER BEWARE: Poor Conditions, Privacy Violations, & Dishonest HostOur stay was terrible. The house is poorly maintained, but the host’s behavior was even worse. He uses a "reporting trap": his instructions demand in all caps that you report every issue or face charges, yet when we did, he ignored us, denied the problems, or became dismissive.Major Issues:Privacy Breach: The host entered the house unannounced through the garage into the laundry room, terrifying my sister. Water Safety: He disconnected the fridge water/ice due to "well water liability" but refused to answer twice when I asked if the tap water was even safe to drink.Retaliatory Accusations: After we checked out, he accused us of needing "extra cleaning" simply because we stripped the beds and left the linens in the laundry room—despite us leaving the rest of the house clean.Dilapidated State: We found the front door handle lying on the floor. There was a broken bed, stains on the furniture, a non-functional grill, and broken tiles/dents in the flooring. The kitchen, meant for 16 people, had only 6 forks and no large pots, many lights don't work (no lights at all in one bathroom). The pool deck was dirty, and the firepit was broken. This host is a poor communicator who refuses to maintain his property and does not respect guest privacy. He blamed our group size for these issues, even though we informed him of our 15 guests at the time of booking. (And 2 guests left due to the poor conditions)
