Getting into the building was easy, but the code didn’t work to get into the apartment. It took multiple phone calls over almost half an hour before we were finally told to use the same code used to enter the building; not a good start to our experience.I don’t want to say that the description of the property and accompanying pictures are wrong, but they are a bit misleading. Because we were coming off an 8-day river cruise, one of our “must-haves” was a washer and dryer. There is access to laundry facilities… in the basement, not in the apartment; this was not clear in the description. The bathroom situation is odd, to say the least. A toilet room and a full bathroom are located next to the front door. The full bath had an odor in the shower that was absolutely awful! We had to run the shower for a couple of minutes to make the smell go away before getting in. One bedroom has no bathroom and the other has a sink and shower, but no toilet. The sink in the ensuite quickly backed up and was very slow to drain. We made the bath situationwork, but it was, at times, inconvenient. There was one hair dryer, which didn’t work.The window shades don’t go all the way down, meaning that light from street lamps or the courtyard pours into the rooms and my wife needs complete darkness to sleep. The side reading lights in the bedroom without the bathroom didn’t work.
