We waited over an hour to check into our room. The staff gave us a room with a used water bottle in the room and the lights were on in the room.
We asked for a timeslot for a shuttle to the airport and they said it was full and the hour before and after were full too. Useless and resulted in us paying an additional $25 to get to the airport with an Uber.
We were told at check in our breakfast was free, when we went for breakfast, we were told it’s an additional $25€ per personal for a continental breakfast! What a joke! I also gave them my IHG Gold member number, they didn’t input it and never helped me once when we had any of these issues. Won’t be back and won’t ever recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.
At checkout, they couldn’t even find our room reservation and argued with us to say we were in a different room. Complete nonsense!
Additionally, there was an entire flight of people sprawled across the lobby with bags in the entrance, and the camped out overnight in the lobby as the hotel was full and only a few of them could get a room. It felt unsafe and disorganized. They were moving bags and dragging them along the floor in our hallway throughout the night.
The hotel staff gave free water bottles to those arriving, but when I asked, they refused. I felt very snubbed and did nothing to deserve it.
Use the Hilton down the road. It’s worth the extra $100 per night.
