Tastefully decorated, with an elevator to get up the third level above the ground floor in a very well maintained building dated in 1785, located in the 'Palais-Royal' itself.

Within easy walking distance of
- Le Louvre (3 mn)
- Palais Royal gardens (less than 1 mn)
- the 'Louvre - Palais Royal' metro station close by (3mn).

The studio consists of :
- a night area equipped with a very comfortable queen size electric Swissflex doble bed (2X80cm), fine coton linen provided,
- internet and free WIFI connection,
-TV offering english or french speaking channels, (extranet),
- a living area equipped with a dining table and First Empire furniture, table cloth and service table provided.
- a kitchen equipped with induction stove top, micro-wave oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge (with small freezer compartment),

Exceeded expectations on all counts! Such a well equipped flat… I can not imagine anything that was missing that I might have needed it. The location is a fantastic base to explore and the host is so charming, kind, and helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This was a magical haven in the center of Paris -- right in the Palais Royal buildings -- a marvelously classic locale. It was clean and cozy. The host was able to accommodate a request for an early arrival time and slightly late departure, and communicated graciously throughout. There are lovely antique furnishings and elegant decorative touches. The Louvre is right nearby, as is a convenient subway line, and of course there is the garden of the Palais Royal, with its galleries and shops. This apartment is a rare gem, and I would happily recommend it.

From the moment we were greeted by Sophie and entered this beautiful Paris apartment we were positively enchanted.The space was just as pictured: an elegant but very comfortable and convenient home base for our long awaited trip to Paris. Sophie provided many suggestions and resources for our stay. The apartment was very conveniently located, the bed was very comfortable, the small kitchen was very handy though we used it for coffee in the morning mostly. It was such a lovely place to come home to after long days of exploring. Such a treat. Merci Sophie!

The studio is in an ideal location within easy walking distance of the Louvre, the d’Orsay and l’Orangerie as well as bus and Metro stops. It is well stocked. We were greeted with a baguette, several types of fruit, and butter and cream in the refrigerator. It is beautifully decorated with French art and antiques. The hosts, Sophie and François, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend this apartment.

The hosts were exemplary! We arrived earlier then the scheduled arrival time and were graciously met at the home by Sophie and Francois. Access to the apartment was earlier was very much appreciated as we were exhausted. The apartment as shown in pictures is accurate; it is absolutely beautiful! Ms. Sophie and her husband have compiled a wealth of information about the surrounding area(s) including many resturant reviews by former guests. Although this is not our first time in Paris the information provided to us by the hosts was invaluable, particularly the informatuion surrounding the iconic passages . We are history buffs and also appreciated the volumes on Paris, books on historic furnishings, art etc. Now for the apartment: the bed was fantastic, it's one of those with individual controls. Great to alleviate the hubby's snoring! The kitchen is a galley kitchen but with all that's needed. We loved this place and will be sure to return. Fresh sheets and towels were provided at the end of the week. A laundromat is right around the corner as well. Thank-you Ms. Sophie and Mr. Francois for making this a most enjoyable stay. Our paths will cross again!!

This property is exactly as shown in the photos—very charming and comfortable. Sophie, your hostess, has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable including providing fruit, bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee for your stay. She has a drawer full of guide books to enjoy and a wall full of fascinating books. She’s extraordinarily warm and charming. The location could not be more central and picturesque, being literally next to the Palais Royal and the Louvre. If you are staying for several days and need to wash clothes, there is a laundromat down the street.

A very enjoyable stay!

We adored this apartment, and our hosts, Sophie and Francois, were so friendly and welcoming, and genuinely cared about their guests. The apartment, as other reviewers have said, is beautifully decorated, and close to everything you need. We also found it to be very quiet. The little treats left for us were very much appreciated, and not having to go out straight away to buy basic supplies is a real plus when arriving in a new city. Sophie was very quick to respond to messages, very flexible with arrangements, and there is a wealth of information about Paris provided in the apartment. A very enjoyable stay!

Our stay at Palais Royal was exceptional. The property is elegant, impeccably maintained, and full of charm. It strikes the perfect balance of comfort and sophistication. Safe and wonderful stay in Paris

My husband and I spent 12 nights at Sophie and François' wonderful apartment from late April to early May.We were greeted by François because Sophie had to be away, and he was very welcoming and we arrived to a fruit basket and baguette. This location is set back from the tourist crowded areas, but also such a convenient 5-10 minute walk to the Louvre and Orsay museums. The palace courtyard is around the corner and is charming and we often walked through. We took the metro from two convenient stops and a bus around the corner. Once in for the night, the apartment felt safe, quiet and comfortable for the two of us. The elevator, after putting in so many steps, is a delightful, welcome, narrow fun ride every day! Just remember to push the outside door to get out.We were also lucky to meet Sophie at the end of our stay. She is also a beautiful person, like her husband.Thank you both for the wonderful stay!

Great location

We prefer to walk and we were close to most of the places we wanted to visit. For those who don’t want to walk, Paris Metro is awesome and there is a station less than 5 min away with 2 lines to take you anywhere you want to go.The studio was equipped with everything you need. Sophie was great and provided us with numerous recommendations. We will stay there again in the future.

Wonderful stay

The studio apartment was as shown/described and located in a very convenient central location. Sophie was a wonderful host who gave us a warm welcome and was very kind. She provided a welcome basket with bread and delicious fresh fruit. The apartment was very comfortable, extremely clean and had many amenities. We were allowed to check-in early and check-out late, which further enhanced our stay. Highly recommend!

Life in a Palace!

We enjoyed our stay in this charming studio of Old World charm. The host, Sophie, is very thoughtful and welcoming: fruit, chocolate, a baguette, and other treats were waiting for we jet-lagged travelers. She was helpful with recommendations and made us feel at home. The neighborhood is fabulous!

Beautiful studio apartment in Palais Royale

This was a return visit for me to exceptional hosts, Sophie and François’ studio apartment. This time I was joined by my mother and she quickly understood why this studio apartment is by far my absolute favourite place to stay in Paris. The apartment is beautifully decorated and so comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities you could need during your stay. Sophie thoughtfully provided fruit, bread, milk and butter which was greatly appreciated. The location in the 1st arondissement next to the Palais Royale is fabulous with its stunning architecture and gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris during the pre-Christmas festivities. Thank you Sophie and François for your warm hospitality.

Everything We Hoped For and More

The most special place.

Sophie has created a BEAUTIFUL SPACE that exceeded my expectations an experience staying in the heart of Paris. She has curated books, maps, info, etc. for all kinds of things to do, markets, museums, neighborhoods, general knowledge, useful info. The space is well equipped for making simple meals and coffee as well as reading or watching tv. The location was PERFECT. Less than 10min. walk to the LOUVRE. She also answered all my questions. I appreciated her desire to make my stay super comfy. I will be returning for sure. A total GEM! Merci Sophie!

Excellent studio in an exceptional location

The studio is large compared to many in Paris however compact and cozy. We were extremely comfortable and made welcome. History of the location was enhanced by an eclectic collection of both art and literature in the studio. Sparkling clean bathroom, cute kitchen with lots of options for eating on the perfectly sized dining table for two. Studio was remarkably quiet with little noise heard prior to 9am each morning and only one evening with a short period of revelry from a nearby business. Perfect cafes for breakfast on the front of the building overlooking the Palais Royale gardens.

My favorite!

This studio is by far my absolute favorite place to stay in Paris. I was a solo traveler this time and I felt so safe! The studio is appointed with all that one would need for a week+ stay. Clean, organized, warm and inviting. I miss it already and want to return quickly! Thank you Sophie and you sweet husband for such excellent accommodations!

Very gracious hosts who provided a comfortable, beautiful apartment with thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome. The historic building is in the first arrondissment is close to restaurants, sights, the Louvre and metro and bus stops. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect locale to explore Paris

10/10 doesn’t seem enough to rate this property. It was very roomy great location close to public transport and Sophie was an exceptional host. She was helpful obliging and as we had a late flight out she held our bags for us - such a weight off our shoulders. If you are from Australia Sophie loves Madura lemon infused tea which she cant buy in Paris.
