On the apartment’s flowered terrace, a rarity in Paris, guests enjoy alfresco dining, a sunny breakfast, or a relaxing cocktail after a day of exploring and shopping in town. Even more unusual in the city center: the two bedrooms overlook a quiet garden ensuring a silent, peaceful night.
Here you are only steps away from the celebrated Place des Vosges, and the Picasso museum as well the city’s latest mecca for fashionable shopping: the chic boutiques of the Marais. A 15 to 20 minute walk brings you to the Seine, Ile Saint Louis and Notre Dame.

Barbara is a wonderful host. She met us and showed us everything we needed to know including how to use the washer and a few other things that we might not have figured out. We found everything we needed, everything was well stocked including coffee, soap/detergents, tp, etc. It’s a short walk to two different Metro lines and a grocery store is almost next door. We’d definitely stay again.

Perfect Paris spot

Three of us stayed in Barbara‘s delight delightful delightful apartment for nine days and it was perfect in every way. The location is outstanding. Barbara greeted us upon arrival and showed us everything. She was easily available for any questions or follow up. The home is beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious. Great location in Marais

Barbara is a perfect hostess and was so helpful to us in settling in to her home in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. Her home is so spacious and well laid out with the kitchen and family room opening onto an outdoor terrace and the bedrooms looking out on a large interior garden that is quiet and lovely. Her kitchen was cozy and so well stocked with great pans and knives (a rarity in a VRBO!). The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms roomy. For the price I cannot imagine a better property in Paris. The neighborhood is next to Place des Vosges with very much a local neighborhood feel and the area feels safe. The Appartment building is in beautiful condition and is very secure. There are several very local restaurants nearby that we enjoyed and it was so great to be able to get a good meal at the end of a long day, within a short walking distance. Only two things I would note, the air conditioning unit is portable and a little tricky to maneuver if you really need ac. Otherwise Barbara has good fans in both bedrooms that worked well. It is also a little dark inside but this appartment has so many great qualities that we would still be very happy to rent it again. It feels like a true home away from home.

Wow! An amazing oasis in the heart of Paris

Host Barbara is a wonder! She met us upon our bleary arrival from the states. Showed us how everything in the apartment worked. The apartment is in a central location in the marais. Very quiet as the bedrooms face the lovely green courtyard. 2 large bedrooms (one can be made up with a king or two singles). 2 bathrooms, one with a separate toilet near the kitchen. Spacious and well equipped kitchen. Lovely terrace with seating and gorgeous plants and flowers. Big dining and living area. Washer and dryer worked well. Dishwasher also. Barbara even left us a bottle of champagne for my birthday celebration. We felt like we were living as locals in Paris.

VRBO Le Marais Beautiful Home

The property for this listing is on the 1st floor. It is very secure and very at home.The location couldnt be more perfect as its walking distance to some of the finest parisian restaurants of Paris.The place was clean, quaint and homey and we throughly enjoyed the dining room for our after hours discussions at the end of the day.

What a charming apartment! We loved the sunny garden and the art deco style. The location is perfect for restaurants, groceries and shopping. We walked to Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Botabus and more. A lovely apartment in a great location.

Wonderful Paris Apartment

This lovely apartment is wonderful! The interior is tastefully decorated, well organized, and has supplies for cooking, doing laundry, and bath/bathing. It’s clear that visitor needs and convenience were thoughtfully considered. The building provides layers of security and the location is great for Paris sightseeing. The are numerous charming restaurants within just e few blocks. The landlord is a lovely, gracious lady who took a lot of time to show us how everything worked, and was available by phone for any questions we might have. I have stayed many places in Paris over the years (I’m 76.) and this by far is my favorite!

A little piece of heaven

Loved, loved, loved everything about Barbara’s apartment, including Barbara! The apartment was cozy and welcoming for myself, Hubbie, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. We celebrated my 70th (what) and my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. It was perfect. We had wonderful weather, which I’m sure Barbara arranged, to sit on the fabulous terrace. Location was excellent easy walking distance to several great restaurants and shops. Barbara spent time with us when we arrived going over the workings of the apartment and some recommendations. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Magnifique

We stayed in August for a week (4 adults) in this extraordinary georgious apartment. The terrace is a wonderful place for breakfast and to relax between sightseeing. It is such a nice neighborhood with great restaurants, shops, and metro stations in walking distance. Barbaras hospitality is heartwarming and we are looking forward to coming back.

Charming, Quiet and Comfortable in Great Location!

We stayed for a week during the Olympics at this lovely apartment in a peaceful section of Le Marais and it served our needs perfectly. The patio was an added bonus and served as the perfect spot for an apéro or morning coffee. Communication with the owner was great, and we appreciated her warm welcome and orientation to the apartment and neighborhood. There were many shops and restaurants closeby, and easy and quick access to several Metro stations. For our group of 4 adults, it served our needs well and provided a much-needed respite from a chaotic Olympic Paris!

Wonderful Tranquil Base in Paris

My husband, myself and another couple of friends had a wonderful stay at Barbara's place. It was spacious enough for the 4 of us and was quiet and tranquil, but still close to all the action of Paris. The apartment is decorated beautifully and has a definite Parisian feel to it. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend to others.

Deco dream

Wonderful respite in the Marais

Beautiful property that is quietly located in the Marais, with a secret garden and many amazing antiques to gaze at around the house. Barbara was an awesome host, who made us feel more than at home. The house has everything you need, as well as a fabulous bakery right down the street. I highly recommend this property.
