ABOUT TIDEWATER BEACH RESORT
Tidewater Beach Resort has impressive amenities: two 4,200 square foot outdoor lagoon pools with hot tubs, a heated indoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center with Roman Spa, steam room and sauna, theater-style movie/media center, arcade/game room, restaurant, coffee shop and tiki bar.
Best of all, Tidewater Beach Resort is just a quick walk or bike ride away from City Pier (great for fishing and marine life watching) and Pier Park, the best entertainment, shopping and dining hub of West Panama City Beach and beyond!

The resort charges a registration fee for parking and for wristbands. 2-bedroom unit: $48 + tax +credit card fee
Total $54.04 and includes up to 2 parking passes and up to 8 wristbands. Wristbands required for all occupants over age 12. Late registrations (within 1 day of check-in) will incur an additional $10 penalty fee.

I stayed a week. Within one week an alarm went off twice and the building was evacuated. Only no alarm ever went off in my room. The first two days of my stay the pool was closed. Anytime I tried to reach out to someone I couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Waited 45 minutes for an elevator. They don’t give you trash bags, toilet paper, extra towels or anything when your run out. This hotel I used to give 5 stars. Now they deserve a 2.

The view was the best part about this rental. The condo itself is another story. Let’s first talk about the fact that our socks were black after walking on the floors upon arrival.. This place was NOT cleaned well. The dishwasher had a god awful stinch, the sliding glass door could hardly open unless you took steroids. The bed sheets we peeling and felt like you were sleeping in sand, whoever is maintaining this thing is doing a poor job at it. Elevator wait times were ridiculous and let’s talk about the fact that we got stuck in the elevator not once but TWICE, legit lost power, lights went off on the buttons and it dropped 4 floors. We lost water one day for over an hour. The service desk staff is rude and not helpful at all. The parking garage is a hot mess and they do no follow the rules provided as far as golf carts taking up parking spots. 10/10 would never recommend. Below are actual non photoshopped recent photos of the condo upon arrival.

Okay

The room was okay. It definitely needs some updates and a home like touch. The couch in the living room is advertised as a queen sleeper sofa pull out. Well it's not. So my two kids had to sleep on the floor. The air mattress in the guest closet has no pump so that was irrelevant. There's very minimal extra linens. I can't complain much it was a very fair price. But it could have been A LOT better. People want to feel like they are at a home away from home and I didn't get that vibe from this condo. The actual building is amazing and has so many amenities. However, I'm curious how strict they are on the age limit etc. Because the first 4 nights, I had NO sleep. People above us were up till 5am screaming, dancing, running, laughing. I'm not usually one to spoil someone's fun but it was excessive and woke my small children up on many occasions.

Baseball tournament

The elevator situation is horrific no way to get up or down in the elevator without waiting 20+ minutes every time. Had to walk the 14 flights of stairs due to long wait times. Construction going on outside made it difficult to get around. Pretty much the choice was to stay out all day or stay in the room all day. Made a t difficult when we had ball games to get to.

Loved the condo but the elevators

This condo was great and the view was amazing, but the elevator situation is TERRIBLE. We won’t stay here again because of the elevators alone. There’s 30 floors and only about 6 elevators.

Stressed Vacation

Not worth the trouble because of extremely slow check in process, extremely slow elevators!!! I was already preregiistered but it still took 2 hours just to get to our condo, get a cart and get our belongings to our condo. Too many people at this resort. 30 floors with at least 12 condos per floor and only 7 eleveators. Parking deck across the road, not enought parking spaces. We had to wait for elevators most of the time. The condo and resort itself is very nice but I don't want to be stressed during my vacation and have to plan my outings based on when the eleveators will be the fastest. Beach was 3 rows deep in front of our condo.

Very Enjoyable

We were very impressed with this property. The beds slept awesome, everything was clean. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. Loved the 24 hour security. Would highly recommend this rental.

Review

Condo itself was fine. Granite loose/broken/patched in front of kitchen sink- just fyi. Toilets do not flush well- multiple flushes each time. Otherwise decor was fine. Elevators are awful. Waiting time is not acceptable. Walked 14 flights several times. We stayed here- in a different condo- last spring break and it was the same. Prob our last stay here due to this issue. A lot of wasted time waiting. Front desk workers were nice.

Condition of facility

Facility was ok. Living room furniture in condo was dirty. Elevators weren’t good and totally down for approximately 8 hours one evening at a prime time for people to be checking in. We had to walk up and down 14 floors several times.

Disappointed

Charged 50 dollars for late registration, told us we couldnt check in til 4! Elevator wait times too long, condo only had 1 trash bag for the whole week, 1 roll of toilet paper per bath for a week, NOTHING stocked...not even salt and pepper. No cleaning supplies except dishwasher. Ice maker didnt work, garbage disposal didnt work...wont be back to Tidewater...

Vacation Nightnare!

The condo was old and very dirty. Had to put sheets on the furniture just to sit down. Mold in the bathrooms, toilet and bathtub not working right and very uncomfortable mattresses. Miserable stay and to top it off Tidewater Beach Resort elevators were broken down the majority of our stay and the few that were working had 30 to 40 minute waits. We had to walk up and down 14 flights of stairs with my 4 kids, including my 21 lb. baby and senior mother who has a heart condition and a neck and back injury. Never again would I ever stay in this dump!

Nice room, bad experience renting from Best Beach Getaways

Condo was nice but floors were nasty. I will NEVER rent from Best Beach Getaways ever again! There were more fees upon check in due to lack of info from BBG. Was not told that there would be an additionl Amenities fee when checking in. When calling the rental company to express my frustrations, I was hung up on. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
