Key Lime Cottage - 1930's 2 bed 2 bath beach cottage - Steps from the Sand

Step back in time with a stay in one of the first cottages built on the beach. Start your morning with a cup of coffee on your private deck watching the waves. Thomas Donuts across the street offers a variety of breakfast pastries and sandwiches, or take advantage of the equipped kitchen and cook your own.

When it's time to head to the beach, you're only a house and a street away from the sand. This section of public beach has no high-rises nearby so you can find your own space to enjoy the soft sand.

For a mid-day break from the sun, the large covered patio is a great place for a lunch without sand in your SANDwiches.

When you're done with the sand, we have an outdoor shower to rinse off and plenty of places to hang up your wet items to dry for the next day. There is also a washer & dryer to ensure you have clean suits and towels. We provide detergent and dryer sheets.

The sunset from the upper deck is a beautiful way to wrap up the day. There is also a table and chairs if you'd like to enjoy your dinner al fresco.

The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a new, comfortable queen bed. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom with stand-up shower. The second bathroom, also with a standup shower, is off the main living space.

We welcome your four-legged doggy family as well. We do ask that for the sake of guests after you, no dogs on the couch or beds please. An additional $150 pet fee will be charged after booking.

We have Electric Vehicle (EV) charging available to our guests with 40 amp service. It is provided at cost billed at checkout. Please let us know that you will need it so it can be activated for your stay.

Notes:

- There is an exterior video surveillance system in use as well as Amazon Alexa for your use for music and information.

Our stay at this beach house was absolutely charming. Even though it's a house with history, built in 1936, we were pleasantly surprised to find it offered all the modern comforts you'd expect from a contemporary beach home. The decor was beautiful, and everything felt incredibly comfortable, truly inviting relaxation. What we enjoyed most was the tranquility of the place and the gorgeous ocean view. While it's an ideal house for smaller groups (I'd say perfect for 4 people), every corner is well-utilized, and we never felt cramped. Plus, the location is excellent, with everything you need nearby, which made our stay even easier and more pleasant. As for minor improvements, we did notice some dusty surfaces and the showers could have been a bit cleaner upon our arrival. We also missed having a broom to keep the place tidy during our stay. Despite these small details, our overall experience was very positive. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable beach getaway. In fact, we'd absolutely book here again every time we visit the beach, provided it's available! Rating: 4.9/5 stars

This property was very cute great for our family vacation. Excellent location right across the street from the beach, unbelievable views of the ocean and Thomas Donuts right next door. I would recommend this property to all my family and friends. We will definitely be going back.

This cottage is in the perfect location to load up and walk across the street to the beach. Evenings are great sitting on the top deck people watching. The Carousel and Thomas Donuts are so convenient to this cottage. I highly recommend it! Very clean and well stocked. Comfy beds too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pamela's cottage. It's cozy but big enough for my family and our dog. Two nice sized bedrooms plus three piece bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home if that's your preference. There is a great grocer with walking distance and a vast selection of awesome restaurants nearby. The rooftop sundeck is a wonderful place to enjoy early morning coffee. The beach is steps away and so nice. Looking forward to visiting the Key Lime Cottage again. BTW the cottage has a level 2 EV charger! Definitely a nice to have.

Great stay. Loved the location. Especially with the pizza, ice cream and breakfast place right across the street. It was really great walking across the street and being right on the beach.

The cottage was just as described, though maybe even better. It was well equipped with everything imaginable. We took some food with us. That, along with Thomas’ Donuts across the street, and The Carousel within easy walking distance we didn’t visit a grocery store. We ate at Red Bar and Dat Cajun Place. The food and libations were great at both. Service was superior and friendly/welcoming. We also sailed on the Sea Screamer and had great fun with Cap Zach and Casper. They expressed appreciation for patronage. It’s very easy to strike up conversations everywhere. The deck, topside, at Key Lime, was a huge bonus. If you appreciate staying in a historical home and area, you will like it too.

This place was in a great location and very cozy. It had everything we needed including trash bags, laundry detergent, etc. Most places do not supply that. My only complaint was the room we slept in(back bedroom) doesn’t have any place to set electronics (phones, etc) while charging. The front bedroom has some shelves to place them on. Other than that we loved it. I am already looking to book this place again next year.

I rented Keylime Cottage for 10 days, from just before Memorial Day weekend through June 3rd. The location and the weather were absolutely perfect! Especially important to me was being able to bring my Australian Shepherd. I always look for rentals that are pet friendly. I have raved to family and friends about this charming, clean, well appointed cottage. Next year (I definitely plan to return) I will be making reservations for at least four adults... and my dog of course! This is a wonderful beach cottage. Communication with the host was excellent, and she provided detailed information regarding check-in and check out as well as great things to see and do and excellent restaurants to try. Keylime Cottage is a gem!
