Welcome to the House That Klaus Built. Just steps off the back Deck to the Gulf of Mexico. A short drive to Pier Park, 30A, Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Watercolor. This beach front town home is located in one of the most desirable locations within all of Panama City Beach; just 12 miles from the Panama City airport (ECP, serviced by Delta and Southwest Airlines), on Front Beach Road, 1 mile from the popular Pier Park outdoor mall with stores, restaurants, movie and IMAX cinema and night life! With a grocery store, drugstore snd eateries within walking distance! Enjoy golf courses, St. Andrews State Park. and amusement attractions in the area.



Klaus House is a unique, custom rehabbed, Gulf front, 2 story town home.



When you enter this 2 bedroom, 3 bath town home, you will feel like you have entered an upscale modern urban apartment. But that feeling quickly changes when you see the incredible view of the beach through the wall to ceiling glass doors leading to an outdoor space that puts this gulf front town home over the top. There is a full bath downstairs that features a sink, toilet, and a multi jet body spray shower. The 10ft Sile stone custom kitchen island is the first thing you will notice though. The custom kitchen island features 6 bar stools, large deep zero degree Italian stainless steel sink, smooth large top cooking surface, all high-end appliances; double ovens, dishwasher and range hood. To the right of the island is a large Samsung French door refrigerator and double microwaves. This island layout is a chef's dream, but also serves as a great place to mix up beverages to enjoy on the gulf front deck outside.



The living room features a large screen TV, fireplace, custom recessed lighting, seating for everyone, and high-end full body porcelain Italian tile.



The first level of the outdoor space is a large, semi covered deck that has sectional outdoor seating and a gas grill, large patio umbrella, and seating for 8+. This then leads down to the second level that features an outdoor fireplace to cozy up in front of during those sometimes chilly nights on the beach and additional seating to keep everyone in your party comfortable. This then leads to the third and best level of the outdoor space. The last level is direct beach access with a white sand path leading to the emerald green water of the Gulf of Mexico, perfect outdoor oasis for you and your family.



Take the stairs to the upper level and you will find 2 bedrooms and 3 built in full twin size bunks. Both of the bedrooms feature 18" memory foam Queen sized beds and upgraded showers with rain shower head (double in the master) and full body spray jets. Both bedrooms feature a desk, flat panel TV, updated furnishings, and a view of Beach/ Front Beach Road. The Gulf Front Queen master features a master bath with a double sink vanity, full body shower, and access to a large Gulf Front balcony complete with lounge chairs, dining area, and incredible views of the gulf and sunset. There are also fold out memory foam single beds that make this incredible town home sleep 9, if needed.

Dine at numerous eateries like Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Dick’s Last Resort, and Five Guys Burgers or catch a show at the Grand IMAX Theater. 

Some “must see, must try” area attractions include Shipwreck Island Waterpark, putt-putt golf, go-carts, arcades, and bumper boats! Try Pirate's Plunge, Treetop Drop or the Whiteknuckle Rapids. Great Location

Overall, our stay was great. Location was EVERYTHING! Of course, the pictures are a little outdated. Not everything is as "nice" as it seems. But we aren't bougie people. We didn't care. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to just walk out onto the beach with 5 kids. Would deff come stay again.

Perfect spot not a relaxing home

House is in perfect spot but home is not kept. Pictures on VRBO are very old like when everything was new. Cushions to indoor/outdoor living room furniture is absolutely filthy, had to cover with blankets to even sit. Bar stools are rusted and not comfortable for an adult to sit in let alone small children, so NO where for them or an adult to sit and eat. Shower fixtures were cheap and are junk to take shower with. Outside stair railing broke and safe for no one. Needs some cleaning up of path to beach. My daughter stepped on thorn bushes that were over grown (thank goodness it wasn’t her 3 yr old). House really just needs a little money spent on new furnishings( new doors also , they were awful) and a few hours spent outside to make it somewhat relaxing. Would not recommend this place if you have small children or like a place that’s clean and relaxing.

Dirty, outdated pictures, AC unit

Upon arrival, our AC unit was out. I called to have someone sent out and was told to just turn it off for at least an hour and turn it back on. We did that and nothing. It was 87 degrees in the condo. After MANY phone calls back and forth, the tech finally got sent out and the issue was resolved, however, it did not get below 80 degrees until after 10pm which made for miserable sleeping. Another issue is the showers in all 3 bathrooms. In 2 of the bathrooms you are not allowed to use the sprayers on the wall, only the two shower heads on the ceiling. In the 3rd bathroom, only the bottom four sprayers work. We also had extreme issues with cleanliness. There was leftover dried chunks of food left in the pots and pans and SEVERAL utensils and cooking items had leftover crusted food on them from previous tenants. There was trash left in the floor in 2 of the bathrooms upon arrival as well. Our AC went out again, 3 days later. It took SEVERAL calls to the company to get someone out to look at it.Tech said he couldn’t do anything. After several more calls, another tech was finally sent out at 8:30. At this point it was 88 degrees inside the condo. He did a temporary fix (his words) and it took hours to get below 80 degrees. Pictures provided are VERY outdated. I’ve machine doesn’t work. Freezer wouldn’t freeze popsicles. After all of this we were only given a $260 credit for the issues when we paid thousands to stay here.

Potential!

Check in is at 4pm. We arrived at 4:45, cleaning person was still there. She left around 5pm. (She did apologize for running late.) The house was not clean. Food particles on the living room floor. (Appear to be sausages from a pizza.) Chewed up gum in the window seal. Hair left on the bathroom counter. Not just a few strands of hair. (Appear someone trimmed their hair) Downstairs bath wasn’t cleaned. Urine stains left on toilet seat and bowl. Showers were dirty. Dirty towels. Cushions on sofa (well patio sofa that is used for an indoor sofa) are horrible. Severely stained and worn out cushions. (Cushions are so worn, you sink down into the sofa.) We had to purchase beach towels to cover the cushions so we can sit down. Master bed sheets appear to not have been washed. (Dingy discoloration stain size of a body.) We had to wash the sheets before we laid down. Fuzzy sticks behind twin pull out bed in the living room. Water leaked from the ceiling by the glass door in the living room going to the patio due to the rain. I put a towel down to absorb the water. Washing machine is really loud when using. (Not a balancing issue. Just an old worn out unit) We had to remove hair from both washer and dryer. No screens on several windows or sliding door in the master bedroom. So you couldn’t enjoy the cool weather without bugs and mosquitoes getting in. The outside back patio could use some updating. Clearly it hasn’t been maintained in a while. Grass and weeds are grown out of control. Flower pot plants are dead. Bricks are uneven. Realjoy offered to send house cleaning personnel out to clean again on the second full day. That does no good since I clearly stated we had cleaned, washed sheets and towels already. This is the first and probably the last time I’ll book through Realjoy. Sad because the property is in a prime location with great potential. I was extremely disappointed in the cleaning and the overall maintenance.

Superb daytime views and million dollar sunsets!

Overall it was excellent. The only complaints would be that the living room furniture needs to be changed out because it's outdoor patio furniture. Replace it with leather. The showers were cool. But they will leak on to the floor through the door if not careful. The water pressure at the sink needs to be checked. The front door needs adjusted to close better. Having said all that... Overall it has been the best place we have stayed at without breaking the bank! The outdoor patio and grill were very useful. We grilled and ate outside often. Beautiful sunsets! Wonderful access to the beach! Location was very close to the grocery store and Pier Park. Overall 9/10! We loved the place and location!

Destin Vacation

The resort was very nice and the room was nice except the AC kept breaking had to call 3 times to have someone to look at it, it was very warm in the room most of our stay. Wish the resort pool was a little bigger but other then that our family had a great vacation!

We arived around 7pm. We could not get in with the code provided. Called and called to get some help. They told us that it would be 930pm -10pm. The back door was unlocked and we went in thru back. Wifi wasn't working. When I called they had no one to send out till the next day. The living room furniture is out door furniture and was very dirty. The location was great. With updates and a better cleaner this place could be a 10!

Clean and comfortable

I booked Klaus 1&2 for my family and it was a great experience. Everything you need is just down the street, that was great being that mother is disabled. Easy access to the beach with no crowds to worry about. Clean and comfortable for a family, I would definitely book again.

Great condo with beautiful view!

Since I had been to Destin before and would spend a lot of time at the Harborwalk, I decided to stay there on this visit and it did not disappoint. The accommodations were excellent as well as the facilities. I arrived early and as expected, had to wait to check-in so we went and had lunch. They did give us a parking pass so that we would be covered. Once we checked in, it was a very quick and simple process. The only complaint, if you can call it one, is I wish they would have told me about the guest parking area. It didn't affect me until my last day there when the garage was just completely full. But other than that, the location is perfect and you can walk to everything unless there is something specific that is off location that you want to do. The beach shuttle boat is great and all you need is what ever snacks/drinks you want to take since the towels, chairs and umbrellas are all provided. Will definitely be staying there on our next visit, so long as there is availability.

Great location not very busy. Clean.

Great location if you want a not-so-busy place right on the beach. Place was very clean with plenty linens however we had to buy toilet paper and paper towels and would have had to buy more dish washer tabs if we’d had stayed any longer. The showers downstairs and in the guest room leaked badly on the floor and during hard rains the vent in the living area dripped water. I emailed realjoy and never got a response about it and that was on our 1st day of 6. This didn’t bother our stay as it was a location where none of our belongings were harmed. Speakers for the patio didn’t work and were detached. I wish there had been more light on the lower patio with the outdoor oven and we would have used that space more. It is right on the beach and we loved that. It suited our needs.

Beware go else where!!!

The outdoor furniture that was used as indoor was very sandy. The stove did not work. The hood over the stove leaked water. Was told not to use jets in master bath. Was told not to use shower in 2nd bedroom upstairs because door wouldn’t shut. Down stairs shower leaked on floor. Wires we hung around numerous places. Location was all this place had going for it.

Would rent again if stove is fixed. Stove top shocked us with about 28 volts when we accidentally touched it. The top is cracked and water or condensation dripped from the range hood constantly. It quit working before we ever used it. Overall I love the location and the beach was right out our back door.

In the sand within seconds.

A townhouse on the beach is a great experience. Anytime of day, you are seconds from having your toes in the sand. The location is great. Not too close to all the congestion of the pier park area, but close enough to get there for dinner and shopping. This property has some great features/amenities- outdoor fire pit area, private beach access, nice new grill, large outdoor seating area upstairs and down. We had some cleaning and maintenance issues which were brought to management’s attention. I hope they have addressed them for future guests.

Short couple's trip

This was an adult trip with 2 couples for a quick vacay. We had an issue with the stove and oven cutting off while cooking and the outside grill didn't work but other than that, the place was nice. Access to the beach was awesome!
