A nice space. However, lot of small details left me feeling like the host did not care. Recs for the host: frying pans as there were none 2) replace fridge water filter 3) ice cube tray 4) new broom to sweep sand from the unit. The second day the air conditioning failed and the unit temp was 85 in the unit. We contacted the host but received an automated response which said someone would look into it. After several communication attempts to have the a/c restored the only response was to check the batteries in the thermostat. While we were there the city water shut off. There was no notice or explanation from the management or host. We learned through other vacationers. We also learned this building frequently has water issues. The city returned the water, after a day but the building remained without water for 3 days. With no water or air conditioning and no response from the host or management we decided to contact VRBO and request a refund so we could find a more suitable accommodation since we had children. VRBO was very helpful and responded quickly and reliably. We found a Homewood Suites, which was smaller and not on the beach but satisfied our needs. A response from the host to acknowledge the problems & let us know they were working on it would have gone a long way. Solution as simple as fans would have helped immensely. If you stay here don’t expect and comms if a problem arrises.
