The apartment is located on the first floor of a building overlooking Via Porta di Castro and Piazzetta Mediterraneo. Access to the apartment is via about ten steps from a shared entrance with an internal step. You enter directly into a spacious living room with a two-person sofa bed and a dining area, a double bedroom with a walk-in closet and a balcony overlooking Via Porta di Castro, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. Air conditioning is provided by heat pumps. Ideal for exploring the city on foot.
As with all historic centers, it’s much easier and more enjoyable to get around on foot. However, it’s not particularly difficult to find parking near the apartment, tucked away in the narrow streets.
For those arriving by train or bus, the central station is a 15–20-minute walk away. The metro station (Orleans-Palazzo Reale) is less than 10 minutes away and connects to the airport.
In the area surrounding the apartment, you’ll find many restaurants—both ethnic and otherwise—shops, pubs, and pizzerias.
The apartment is also very close to the Vucciria Market, the Teatro Massimo, and the Albergo delle Povere.
The apartment’s location also makes it convenient for those attending university or needing to visit any of the city’s hospitals (Children’s Hospital, ISMETT, Policlinico, and Civico).
