Elegant and functional apartment in the center of Palermo, a few steps from the Port, from the Politeama Theater. A few minutes walk from the Massimo theater, the Cathedral and the bus stop for Mondello beach. Equipped with all the comforts: air conditioning, free Wifi, 2 50-inch flat-screen TVs, kitchen, microwave, washing machine, iron, ironing board, hairdryer. Furnished with sheets, bath towels and everything you need for a comfortable and happy stay. Ideal for both business trips and holidays alone, as a couple or with family.

I would love to give this a 5 star rating as Alessandra was absolutely the best hostess but there were a number of things that just did not lend it self for the full 5 starts - in fairness there were no other reviews posted when I made the booking so having an expectation is kind of hard. There are many good points I will make about the unit. However there are a few points worth making 1) The apartment enters into the main sleeping area with the A/C so if you are thinking couple's, there is no privacy if the others want to leave the unit. 2) second bedroom nice, has a door is private but no A/C and if you open the window (no screen) you are subject to bugs and road noise. 3)The bathroom is good - however the shower door only opens 1/3-1/2 as it hits against the commode, could be tough going for a large person. 4) the kitchen was moderately appointed -- no dishwasher which is fine but there is also no dish rack to dry your hand washed items, also there were no sharp knives to cut bread, hard cheese etc. Unfortunately due to flight issues our trip was delayed by a day and we arrived late. Upon our arrival the A/C units for the main living area / kitchen was not operationally. I called Alessandra and she came immediately - she was not able to fix the problem and with only one day left to our stay we opted to leave the repair until after we left. (No compensation offered for the lack of A/C) The location was in a great neighborhood with plenty of local shops and restaurants. It is a 20 min walk to everything. The water pressure in the shower was good and the bed very comfortable and the working A/C did a great job. Alessandra had water, juice, coffee and breakfast items in the unit for our use which was a nice add as we did arrive late and did not need to rush out first thing for a coffee and snack. Overall I would definitely recommend this unit and if I were to travel to Sicily again would look at this property.
