"House keeping doesn't clean rooms very well. Found blood on bathroom wall, hair in shower. Sheets were stained all they do is make the bed and vacuum the floor."

"I don’t have much expectations from Thai inn but this is a beautiful little inn run by very friendly manager. The upkeep was excellent, the staff were painting the place and the premium room was newly renovated. I guess this is more from an environmental perspective but the only small downside is that there are no water bottles in the room or breakfast area so bring your own, even to make coffee in your room."

"3 1/2 stars for a roadside motel with a facelift. Room fairly beaten up and worn. No pool, ice machine broken, cleaners need to do a more thorough clean - trash left in a nightstand drawer. Staff was very nice though. Made me look into how hotels get rated with the stars - id say this was a 2 or 2 1/2 stars. Free parking though and minutes from the fisherman's wharf"

"Room was generally well-maintained and clean, although a bit spartan. The beds have a weird metal platform that makes a LOT of noise. Shower walls were nicely remodeled, but the shower floor tiles were pretty banged up with some small areas showing mold. The narrow parking at the hotel is very strange, with most marking spots required to back out of the long parking area back to the lobby where there is a turnaround."

"I liked how close it was in walking distance to loads of stuff. The room was very nice and the bed super comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast and wine and cheese hour. The only thing I wish was that the fireplace was a little more warm. It was mostly just for ambiance but it was still nice to sit by in the evening."

"No blinds, just shutters so there is no blocking the bright parking lot lights. Loudest A/C I have ever heard. Hard to fall asleep. No amenities."

"The staff greeted me right away and were very kind and helpful. The site was clean and the bedroom was fresh. This was a very pleasant stay and I would come back to the Pelican Inn. It is a short drive to the beach and Cannery Row (maybe 5 minutes through the cute downtown area)."
