You get a little local flavor, less resort-like feel, with amazing ocean views and pool. Star gaze at night while soaking in the hot tub.
The breathtaking, panoramic view assails the senses as the weary body and soul take in wispy breezes, rhythmic ocean sounds, soft birdsong and warmth of real sunshine.
This is a private Studio unit/bedroom alcove in a secluded resort in the rural district of Kau. It's a hidden Gem! For those who want to relax, chill, explore Volcano National Park or enjoy the Black & Green Sand Beachs, it is ideal.
Sea Mountain Resort Condo #18 is for those who want a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
The space
• Short walk to famous Punalu'u black sand beach
• 7 mile drive to Na'alehu, country town w/gas station, farmers market, fantastic bakery, restaurants and more
* 5 miles to Pahala, with Hospital, Longs Drugs, bank, post office and small country store.

• 30 minute drive to Volcano National Park
* 40 minutes to parking lot at Green Sands beach
• 60+ minute drive to world class snorkeling, diving & kayaking at Honaunau Bay/Captain Cook
* 60+minute drive to Hilo
* 90+ minutes to Kona

This Condo is on the front row of units and at the end affording the best views and privacy. Pool & BBQ are a short walk away across a grassy patch from the lanai. No Stairs!

Guest Amenities:
We have a shared salt water swimming pool and lava rock hot tub that overlook the ocean. The pool area also houses 2 BBQ's. The pool & grounds are beautifully kept and are accessable from the lanai, only steps away.
The golf course & tennis courts are not open.

ACTIVITIES:  Travel guides provide a myriad of activities the Big Island has to offer and that is why so many visitors do return. There is always something for everyone, whether young or younger at heart. The range of activities crosses the spectrum from lying by the pool reading your favorite author to a midnight visit atop Mauna Kea summit to peer at the vast universe from the astronomical observatory. Between these extreme leisures is golf, hiking ancient trails, ZIP Lines, exploring Volcano National Park, observing lava spewing forth (if Madam Pele cooperates), shopping in Kailua Kona, deep sea fishing, snorkeling pristine coral reefs and the list of activities is limited only by your energy.  Don’t forget to take advantage of sunrise at Punalu’u Black Sand Beach which is a short walk from the condo. Sunrise and basking Green Sea Turtles is a must.  As mentioned before, here, your time is your own. However, take time to meander local farmers markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Na’alehu (a 10 minute drive), Sunday in Pahoa (45 minute drive) and in historic Hilo (1 hour drive). These markets feature mouthwatering baked goods, flavorful locally roasted coffee, artisan crafts and abundant fresh fruit and vegetables.

FOOD: Remember you are now off the beaten track. There is limited casual dining in neighboring town Na’alehu. More dining choices are available in Kailua Kona and Hilo. However, you may prepare local cuisine yourself by gathering the freshest ingredients from markets in Hilo, Kailua Kona and neighboring town Ocean View. Fabulous meals can be prepared in the condo’s fully stocked kitchen and BBQs are provided at the pool area.

UNIT #18:   Condo #18 is unsurpassed in regards to resort location. This corner unit is located to afford utmost privacy, unobstructed sweeping views of the ocean & the golf course’s 1st & 9th holes (golf course currently closed but still stunning views) and maximum ease to access the swimming pool, hot tub & BBQs. This well-appointed studio is equipped for your convenience, including a full kitchen, in-house washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, native island cook books, ice chests, beach chairs, beach towels, bathing mats and guide books.  Whether you snuggle in to relax or venture out to explore, you are well prepared...because here, your time is your own. Paper products
Everything was as listed…except for not having enough paper products. A person in my party was on the tail end of a cold when checking in and when I asked for more toilet paper, the owner would not deliver. For several days, we had one small roll of paper towels, 2.5 rolls of toilet paper (group of 3, one with a cold) and zero boxes of Kleenex. Plus, the owner wanted her guests to do half the laundry and empty all the trashes, even though her cleaning lady (which we paid a fee for) was scheduled to arrive as soon as we left. Paper products should be available as guests need it, especially in such a remote area. The owner’s response was, “I’m not going to give an endless supply of paper products.” Not professional in our opinion.

Beautiful Location
We loved our stay here. This particular unit has one of the best locations on the property with a direct view of the ocean. We saw many whales right offshore from our unit! The location near the black sand beach was fantastic and we loved the ocean and turtles. It is a quiet and peaceful place to visit. The unit was very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and was perfect for a quiet getaway.
