Whale's Tail Cottage is also an easy beach walk to some of Pacific City's favorite spots. Head north along the sand to Pelican Brewing, Meridian Restaurant, coffee, shopping, and the heart of Cape Kiwanda. This is the kind of spot guests come to Pacific City for — long beach walks, tide pools, dune climbing, surfing, dory boats, and easy access to Pelican Brewing, Meridian Restaurant, and local shops. It is beachfront, walkable, and wonderfully central to the best of Pacific City.

Important Notes:
This home is not pet-friendly.

This home is built directly on a sand dune leading to the beach. During winter storms, sand can drift and accumulate around the property and may affect the ocean view from inside the home. We make every effort to manage sand and preserve views before guest stays, but winter weather and County and State dune management permit restrictions can make this difficult to predict. Views from seated positions in the living and dining areas may not be guaranteed during extreme winter storm months.
There is a dune camera on the deck that faces only the dune and is used to monitor dune height. The microphone and lights are deactivated.
Beach access over the dune may be steep in places. Please use caution, especially in wet conditions.

A low bank sandy beach slopes to the ocean from the Ocean Front homes. Beach access is available to the Second Row and Back homes.

Cancellation Policy:
1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 14 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

Occupancy Note:
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.
