"The room was excellent with a splendid view of the campus. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was quite helpful. The staff was friendly and always there to help. Location was perfect with Radcliffe Camera and The Sheldonian within walking distance. I had a lovely stay here ."

"Had all the essentials, good location and good shower. The bed was unfortunately very hard and uncomfortable and there was a constant whirring sound in the room a bit like a faint extractor fan. It just wouldn't stop and, as a light sleeper, made it difficult to get to sleep. Our room was also next to reception and early in the morning we could hear all the conversations going on at the reception desk and in the breakfast area. Didn't seem to be much awareness of the fact that there were...

"Charming and lovely hotel with delicious breakfast. Perfect location for walkability to city center and all sites in Oxford, and the indoor and outdoor pub/restaurant areas are very sweet. The "Family Rooms" vary, with some being too small for a family of 3 so ask about which room you will get, especially if your third person is an adult child. We would stay here again!"

"Room was Iovely - clean, well appointed and very comfortable bed with high end linens. Nice big bathroom with tub and shower. Beautiful views of a meadow and very quiet. We loved that it was out of the way but others may want to be closer to Oxford. "

"Room was exactly as described. Very clean and the included breakfast was a delight! The room had tea, coffee and even snacks waiting for us. Close to the Trout pub for an amazing meal and right by the river. Only downside was the shower is a bit cramped for tall people, with a small step to get in. Not an issue for us, we bent down but some might have an issue. Great stay and very pleased with the price. "

"Crown House is an east Oxford gem. Very reasonably priced rooms, maintained spotlessly, and managed by a kind, very hospitable, and attentive staff. Cowley Road location is ideal given local superabundance of genuine ethnic restaurants, multiple supermarkets, specialty stores, and Oxford's largest bike shop. Local buses run constantly on Cowley Road with easy, easy access to the city center. Crown House's Cowley Road location is also an easy walk to the Oxford Tube Bus stop on the near St....
