"Runie was an amazing host! He took good care of us when we arrived early before our room was ready and we had to leave to a wine tasting.
Dotty was a gracious host, very cheerful and welcoming on our last morning breakfast.

I did have a booking issue here - when we arrived to check in, the woman at the front desk could only find one of the two rooms I had booked. Even with me showing her my confirmation for two rooms, she insisted there was only one room. We booked me a second room there and then, and all seemed ok. "This is an okay value. The location is the best asset. Easy access to highway 29 to go up valley or over to Sonoma. The major drawback is noise at night. Road noise and due to thin walls and floors/ceiling a lot of guest noise. I had to take a Tylenol PM every night to TRY and get a good night's rest. I also asked for no maid service during my 7-night stay which was disregarded. I didn't appreciate someone coming in the room when I requested no service."

"The staff was amazing. They went beyond and out of their way to make sure that my special needs son and 80 year old mother and my two dogs had an enjoyable experience. It is a lot for me to travel and I appreciated the help and kindness and warmth from the front desk to maintenance to the ladies that help clean your rooms. All wonderful people. And maintenance was only for a lose wire on the tv. They were great."

"We loved the Union. It wasn't our first time there and it never disappoints. We had the largest room on the 3rd floor with a 180 degree view and amazing original furniture from the early 1900s.
The only small complaint is that the king sized bed could use a new mattress. We didn't sleep well because it was pretty bad, but don't let this discourage you from staying there. Maybe they will read this and put a new mattress on the bed. :)"
