SHELDRAKE SPECTACULAR LAKE VIEW

Centrally located in the heart of one of the most beautiful places on earth - the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. This cottage is located on the west side of Cayuga Lake and just minutes away from Cayuga Lakes Wine Trail .

This cottage is completely furnished and sleeps 9 people with 2 queen, 2 double beds and 1 single bed. There is one full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, sun room, living room and deck overlooking the lake. Enjoy the sunrise every morning while watching the wildlife around . Eagles, ducks, geese, blue herons, and catch a glimpse of a huge trout or bass splashing out of the water. Day time take a swim or kayak out on the lake.

Comfort, quietness, and views abound

Beautiful views abound in this cozy yet spacious lakefront cottage. The living area is larger than pictured, as is the waterfront area. The kitchen and outdoor shed are stocked with anything one might need or desire for an enjoyable stay.The house was impeccably clean, and plenty of towels, paper goods, and cleaning products were supplied. The road leading to the home is quiet and the surroundings provide for a mostly private experience.The host was generous and communicative. We will definitely return to this gem on the lake!

Amazing

Wow!! This property was a perfect get away for our friends and family. The home had kayaks, a paddle board, and life vests, and a huge beach area with a fire pit, firewood and a picnic table. The home itself was quiet, cozy and clean and had everything we needed. The host was responsive and kind. Would love to stay here again! and had everythkng we needed

Peaceful Lake Front Stay

This was a great stay for our girls trip to the wineries. We were a short ride from the Cayuga wineries and the Seneca wineries in the east side! The house was super clean & functional for 4 adults with some room to spare. The dock is terrific and you can’t beat the peaceful beauty of the lake. Bring some games or a good book to keep you busy at night. I’d recommend and go back!

Docking a boat?

Be aware you can’t dock a boat on Cayuga lake and leave with peace of mind. Too rough. A hoist is necessary. We had to pull boat out every evening and put it back in the morning. Luckily a state boat launch is 4 miles down road.

Perfect spot on Cayuga

We loved our stay in this beautiful and comfortable home! The house was clean, bright, and comfortable with easy access to the lake. My husband enjoyed taking out the kayak and fishing off the dock, and I enjoyed drinking my coffee from the deck with incredible view of the lake with our 2 month old daughter.The house was well equipped with everything we could have needed. We would love to come back in the future. Thanks for having us!

Lovely Lakeside Home

The best feature about this home is that the back porch connects via a gently sloping stairwell to a private beach on the lake. The views from the porch and beach are beautiful. The private beach has a firepit and plenty of comfortable lounge chairs surrounding it. There is also a picnic table for eating. There is an adjacent large shed storing kayaks, paddles, life vests, noodles, & wood for the firepit. The main house has a renovated 1st floor with a fully-stocked kitchen and lovely living room, master bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room with modern washer and dryer. The temp in the home is very comfortable with the AC units and multiple ceiling fans. It is important to clarify that the upstairs consists of only 1 bedroom, but the open space from the top of the stairwell to this bedroom contains a full sized bed and a twin bed - loft style. The guests who sleep in these 2 beds will not have guaranteed privacy (no door to shut) and will also hear anything going on, or people talking, on the first floor. There is only 1 bathroom, which can be tricky if multiple guests, although the bathroom was lovely - renovated, large, shower accessible for a disabled/elderly person (built-in seat, many handlebars). There is no dishwasher so we found ourselves washing a lot of dishes since we cooked meals. I want to acknowledge how attentive Joelle was. We had a question re: a streaming service and Joelle responded promptly, even coming over to directly help us.

The Lake Life

Experience

My family had a great time. Wonderful location and beautiful view of lake. Owners lived next door and were very accommodating! It was summer like weather so perfect! Boys went trout fishing on the lake and had a great experience. Kids hung out at rental and we snuck in a couple wineries. Also, took advantage of a hike with the kids at nearby state park. Would definitely recommend!
