"Beautiful building, nice large room, super comfortable mattress, duvet and pillows. Lovely little touches like earplugs (yes the church clock chimes through the night, I didn’t hear it but my husband did), make up remover pads and shower caps. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Super friendly people, and the communal fridge under the stairs with milk and juices to help yourself to is a really thoughtful addition. "

"Excellent stay in a comfortable room with many useful facilities such as tea and coffee, including a nespresso machine, an Echo Dot, a good shower and a comfortable bed. Gary and Jamie were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. Will stay there again."

We were the only guests for dinner but didn't feel awkward as the staff including the chef were chatting with us. The place was full of character whilst giving attention to comfort. "The hotel was wonderful. It is clear that the 17th-century historic building is being maintained with great care and affection. The room was spotlessly clean, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The quality of the meals served at the restaurant was also extremely high, and I was very satisfied. I couldn't visit the adjacent Somerset Museum as it was closed, but I look forward to seeing it on my next visit."
