Studio apartment for rent at Residence Placide on the Belgian coast in Mariakerke, Ostend, with a beautiful view of the North Sea. Located on the 4th floor and accessible by elevator or stairs. Prime location in terms of views (frontal sea view) and accessibility. Perfect for a short-term tourist visit to the region. Situated on the Belgian coast within walking distance of Ostend-Bruges International Airport. A short flight allows you to easily move in for a short period, whether you're a couple with or without children or pets. Renting a holiday apartment is always great! You can put them down for a short night in a loft bed, where they can snuggle up with a separate light. The sea is right in front of you, at the top of the stairs, and you're standing with your feet in the sand. The dunes are right next door, and you can easily walk to the next coastal town or a little further inland to a nearby attraction. Tram stop is nearby. At low tide, you can play peacefully. Cycling and walking on the sea wall are perfect for that. Quiet neighborhood, restaurants nearby, food and drinks, sleeping accommodation in the living room.
Within tram distance of Plopsaland/bike and kart rental, a supermarket around the corner, and a visit to Flanders Fields Ypres, the Menin Gate, the Bakery Museum in Veurne, the Diksmuide Yser Tower and Trench of Death, the Atlantic Wall in Raversijde, the James Ensor House in Ostend, and more. The Passchendaele and Ypres region boasts a rich war history. The entire Belgian coastline of De Panne, Westende, Nieuwpoort, De Haan, Blankenberge, and Knokke-Heist is a short distance away, as Ostend is fairly centrally located on the Belgian coast. You can cook and prepare meals on the two- and four-burner stoves. The accommodation is best suited for three or four people. The dunes are a short distance away. The beach is right on your doorstep.
Free parking is available across the street and nearby. The accommodation has a separate bathroom with a sink and shower, a toilet, and a kitchen with a microwave. A refrigerator with a small freezer and an extractor hood is provided.
The toilet is separate. You can also easily get there by train and tram.
If you're staying there as a tourist, it's a good idea to stroll along the new path, which has been specially created as a tourist attraction. You can stay there for short or long periods during the week, or even for a long weekend or a very short stay.
In the cupboard you'll find games and books. Bookings can be made both during and outside the holiday periods. There's a 160x200 cm fold-out bed and a double bed system. Suitable for 2 people and 2 children. Perfect for a short break. This isn't a new apartment, but a thoroughly renovated room, temporarily decorated in a new retro style. Please bring your own extra bed linens and towels; down blankets and pillows are provided. Beds are made, and 4 towels and a washcloth are provided.
There are separate accommodations for short stays. It's also fun to bring your bikes and cycle along the coast. It's the ideal spot for entertainment and recreation, allowing you to explore further inland. It's also located not far from Buzo, with the rehabilitation center diagonally across from it and visible from the window. There's also a hotel with a swimming pool nearby. Outsiders are welcome, and for a small fee, you can swim if the seawater is too cold. You can surf in the open sea or do other things you'd like to do on the Belgian waves. Couples are also welcome. This rental apartment is ideal for a small family looking for a short seaside getaway!
Before your arrival, I'll give you the code for the key safe in mailbox 0402 (4th floor) at the entrance of the Placide Residence (Duinenlaan 50, 8430 Middelkerke). There's also the option to rent a small storage unit in the basement, but we'll need to discuss this with you. Everything is accessible by elevator, or by stairs if you prefer. As a B&B, we offer accommodation for tourists both within and outside Belgium. The journey is always enjoyable.

You can travel there by plane or car, and visiting the sites is designed for that purpose. The airport is closed, and you can reach it by taxi, your own vehicle, or even on foot. We do ask that you turn off the electricity and turn down the heating slightly when leaving the location. Please take the garbage with you and dispose of it before you leave and before new guests arrive. As a guest, you don't want this either. Always include your mobile phone number with your reservation so we can communicate.
Please take good care of your key, as you will be charged for loss. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is prohibited throughout the building. We also offer compensation for damage, missing items, broken pieces, and fires. Please also send photos of the key safe's access code and the electricity that needs to be switched on and off. At the end of your stay, please return the studio keys to the key safe and lock it so that the next tenants can use it.

There is no cleaning fee, but you are expected to clean the studio yourself upon departure (cleaning supplies are provided). Just as you would clean the studio for the first time :-)
We are currently exploring a full cleaning service, so guests don't need to bring anything. The additional charge for this service depends on the number of guests. Currently, it is fully equipped, with linen and towels provided. We are doing this with other guests and will assess how we will handle this for rentals in the near future.

A folder with things to see and do is in the closet. Under the bed is a drawer with games, leisure activities, and other recreational items.
