Tranquil Tides Retreat offers spectacular sweeping ocean views from nearly every room in the home! Situated on Gun Point Cove, on Orr's Island, you'll enjoy delightful sunrises over the sparkling water, perfect for launching your kayaks ! The oceanfront is just steps away from the deck, a perfect location for a fun-filled family vacation or a cozy romantic getaway.

As you enter the home, on the main floor, you are greeted by the charming kitchen, equipped with all you need for preparing your meals. Open floor plan features the dining and living areas, with stunning views of the cove. The first floor also offers the master bedroom, presenting a king size bed, and attached full bath. As you venture to the second floor, you will do so by using the lovely spiral staircase, which leads to two other bedrooms, Jack and Jill Style with a full bath - (one with a queen size bed, one with a double size bed). Each bedroom is private, and each have their own doors. The one with the queen size bed had glass sliding doors which enables a great view of the coast ! There are drapes as well for privacy. On the second floor, there is also another living space with a flat screen TV for streaming, and comfy love seats for relaxing after a day on the ocean! The property offers two large outdoor decks for your enjoyment. One located out back, overlooking the stunning ocean, the other out front--both offering outdoor seating, as well as grill.

The quaint home is close to hiking trails, kayak rentals, restaurants ,art galleries, and even a candy shop! The Giant Stairs, Land's End Gift Shop, Sundrenched, and Cook's Lobster House are all a must to visit! You will be astounded with spectacular views while traveling over the world's only granite Cribstone Bridge! The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic places in 1975, and was built back in 1927 in order to connect Orr's Island to Bailey Island. You are sure to find the freshest lobster on either of the islands !! Orr's Island is the perfect place for relaxation, and the home is perfect for a "base" for exploring the surrounding area. Just a hop away from Brunswick, which features Bowdoin College, The Maine State Music Theater, art museums, many great restaurants, shops, and groceries. Freeport, (home of the mother store for LL Bean), Portland, Boothbay, Bar Harbor, Wiscasset, Bath, are all great day trips with super shops and wonderful places to dine ! Please note, cancellations will be refunded per policy, less any processing fees.

The house was clean and kitchen adequately supplied. The chairs and mattresses were exceptionally comfortable! We rented the house for the exquisite views from the deck, - and because we could bring our dog - but found the whole place wonderful. Shari, the Host, was very responsive and helpful. Overall a fabulous stay!

The house was the perfect! Enough room for 5 adults to stretch out and not be on top of each other. Our little pug enjoyed it too! The view from the deck was breathtaking and there was a lot of seating on the deck for all. At night we were able to see the Milky Way and enjoy the quiet of the Maine Coast. The decor was lovely and the house well appointed. It was exceptionally clean! Fans were also provided! One note: there is a spiral staircase to the second floor. If you are unsteady on stairs this could be an issue.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, really loved the location and how the home was set-up for privacy amongst the rooms and yet had gathering places, too. Lots of outdoor activities nearby. Was also wonderful to just sit on the deck after a day of hustle and bustle. My bed was very comfortable with soft sheets, I rarely sleep as well as I did there. Hated to leave, would love to stay again.

Beautiful Stay!

This is a lovely property and the owner has gone out of their way to make sure everything is labeled well for an easy stay. The red notebook with activities and nearby restaurants was a lifesaver and the restaurants recommended were great! Property is right on the ocean and the deck is fantastic. We would definitely stay there again.

Tranquil Tides Vaca

We enjoyed a lovely vacation at Tranquil Tides. It's situated right along a river that has views of the ocean. Brunswick is not far away and has everything you may need. Plus the house had a very informative notebook of activities, trails, and restaurants. The house was well appointed and clean. The only thing that took getting used to were the light switches to both bathrooms. Other than that, it was a great stay.

5 star location and home

The house is rustic, clean and everything is functional. The deck and back patio ideal for lounging, grilling and just relaxing. The location is spectacular for rest and relaxation. The views are breathtaking and the photos don’t do it justice. Everything was spotless and as advertised. 5 stars. Would definitely come back. Hiking trails, restaurants and ice cream are all within a 5 min drive max.
