Welcome to Joy Cottage! Our Cozy Cape Cod cottage is tucked away in the woods, within walking distance to Bakers Pond in Orleans, MA and boarders Nickerson State Park. The cottage is 4.5 miles from Nauset Beach and 2 miles from Skaket Beach.

Joy Cottage features a large wrap-around deck and a roomy outdoor shower. The cottage shares a spacious, well landscaped yard with the owners residence. During the prime summer weeks, the owners residence is also rented out to vacationers. The cottage also has its own personal backyard space with plenty of privacy and fire pit. Level II EV charger on the property for guest use.

Upstairs: The kitchen has a gas stove with above microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Queen size bedroom and one full bathroom is located on the main floor next to the kitchen and dining area. A spiral staircase takes you down stairs to where the second bedroom (twin bed) and living area (queen sleep sofa) are located with a walk out entrance. Two wall mounted AC units, private laundry, fire pit, beach supplies: cooler, umbrella and chairs, and WiFi included.

We offer contact-free, keyless entry for each guest (all of the doors are electronic keypads). Please note the spiral staircase might not be suitable for all guests. Ideal for a couple, 3-4 friends, or a couple with one or two small children.

Wonderful Stay at Joy Cottage

Great cottage and location!

My parents and I used to visit the Cape for many years and stayed in West Dennis. This time my wife and I decided to try something new and stay in Orleans. Found Joy Cottage and we loved it! It is in a great location right off of Route 6. Cottage is tucked back in the woods and made it seem very secluded which we loved. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we needed such as AC, fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, laundry and an outdoor shower. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back to Joy Cottage again!

Another Great Vacation on the Cape

Melissa's house is an excellent option for a small family looking for a rental in the vicinity of the Nickerson State Park. The house is super clean, cozy, any very small. It has everything one may need for a relaxing stay: AC on both levels, well-stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, outdoor shower, comfortable beds, TVs on both levels, a fire pit and fire wood, a large deck. Linens are included (which is not common on the Cape). The host replied to all questions we had promptly. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Cape Cod Getaway

The Joy Cottage was a great place to relax and enjoy while visiting Cape Cod! The pictures are very accurate. The kitchen was well stocked, as was the bathroom and bedroom. We loved the quality linens and thick/ thirsty towels. The spiral stairs were easy to navigate to get downstairs to relax on the sectional couch and watch TV. Beautiful hydrangeas and lovely deck were the perfect place to enjoy our morning coffee! Convenient location to all our favorite restaurants, beaches, the bike trail and surrounding towns!

Wonderful Stay

This house is perfect in every way. It is perfectly located on the Cape for day trips, and we loved its location in such a beautiful private neighborhood. The flora and fauna were great, especially the turkeys and the blooming rhododendrons. Our host thought of everything we could possibly need.

We loved our cape cod vacation at the Joy Cottage. The cottage is quaint, and looks like the pictures. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and tools. The fire pit is a wonderful touch!

Lovely Stay in Orleans - Great access to lower Cape

Tucked away in the woods, this tidy and well appointed home offers quick access to everything on the lower cape. The kitchen is well stocked if you choose to cook at home. The home was spotless and clearly well cared for. Communication with the owner was excellent.

What a gem!

We’ve been coming to Orleans for over 5 years. The house we used to stay in was sold, and we’ve been on the hunt for the “perfect” house ever since. This is it!!! I can’t say enough kind things about the house- it is in the perfect location, they’ve maximized ever space for comfortable living, it is so clean! They literally provide you with everything you could ever want/need for the perfect vacation. We’ll be back next year!

Hidden Gem

A lot of reviews sound canned and may not help people get the best assistance while looking for a place to stay. The Joy Cottage is absolutely phenomenal for a single person, a couple or couple with one child, that enjoy Privacy and Modern living.. Location was Fantastic; Access to Upper Cape as well as Chatham, Brewster and Chatham. Privacy, Location and Relaxation are the three words to sum up your stay at the Joy Cottage. I will be going back.. 👍👍

Absolutely loved staying at beautiful cottage!

We fell in love with this adorable cottage immediately! Small yet spacious, this cottage has a charm and homey feel that strikes you upon entering the door for the first time. It has all the amenities to make you comfortable, including the wrap around deck, outdoor shower and firepit. Close to beaches and the pond behind the property, minutes from great restaurants and shopping, yet we still felt a sense of rural privacy and quietness. We can’t wait to return!

Great spot for a weekend getaway. Perfect location to check out both mid and outer cape beaches and towns. Very clean, kitchen had everything you need to cook in, couch/tv area was cozy, and the fire pit set up is a nice bonus.

Perfect stay

Joy cottage was a perfect spot for my daughter and me for our fall soccer tournament. The cottage was clean cozy and comfortable. It was in a great location- easy to get on the road to morning games in surrounding towns while also being close to anything we needed in town and wanted to see around Orleans in our down time. Before we rented, I was a little concerned it might be too close to rt6 when looking at the map. We were nicely surprised to see what a serene and quiet wooded spot it was. It was also nice to check on Bakers Pond down the road- a spot I remember visiting as a kid for post Nauset “rinse off” after a day in the sand and sea. Joy cottage is a joy!
