My stay was wonderful the property was clean and provided enough toiletries (extra toiletries) and linen and just anything you can thing of (except food lol) was at your finger tips and the owner was very responsive if i had a question we would most definitely book again. Thank you for allowing me and my family to utilize your home

Terribly disappointed.

The first four of our group of 19 arrived at the home at the appointed check-in time with a load of groceries and refrigerated items, so we unloaded. We noticed immediately that the grounds had not been maintained in weeks….mulch from garden beds all over the grass, trash scattered around the year. The kitchen was not clean, and the only cleaning supplies provided were two dirty string mops that were stored in the pantry. On closer inspection, we found the floors were dirty, walls and baseboard dirty, carpet dirty with stains, shower grout grimey, kitchen supplies very lacking (ie. four wine glasses and four drinking glasses for 19 people), many pieces of furniture broken or in poor condition, one small, thin bath towel per person plus a few beach towels were provided. A tile around the hot tub was broken with sharp edges resulting in one of our party getting a nasty cut. We considered trying to find another, more suitable rental in the area, but on such short notice and with 15 more people arriving over the next 24 hours, it was impossible. Within 30 minutes of our arrival, we contacted the host to express our major concerns. Soon, two very nice, but unempowered cleaning people stopped by to check out the situation. They were not the crew who had cleaned the unit. We pointed out all of the issues we had (most regarding cleanliness of the unit) and asked for a little time (2 hours) to discuss a possible Plan B....but as I mentioned earlier, it was impossible to find another unit to accommodate our group on such short notice. We continued to be in touch with the host during this time and later in the evening the two employees came back....to tell us if we were dissatisfied that we were to leave. We refused, of course, since we had no where to go and hundreds of dollars of groceries in the fridge/freezer. Finally, the host agreed that they would bring cleaning supplies (vacuum, mop, broom, cleaners, kitchen towels), more eating/drinking utensils in the morning. They did indeed bring the needed supplies, but we were left with a very rocky start to our family reunion and a large house to clean. This property had no reviews, which we have learned not to trust. We have photos, but not sure how to share them. We feel that although we eventually had the things we needed for a 6 night stay, we would NEVER recommend this unit to another family, especially those with small children who are crawling around a very dirty house.
