Easy different

The place was great right on the beach. Love that there were buggy/carts to haul our stuff up to the room. Only downside really was the other elevator was out but thank god our room was in the section the elevator worked on. I loved they kept water hoses at entrance to rinse off our stuff easier than sitting at the shower rinsing things off. Everything in room worked great. Next time I’ll get a little bigger place but it worked for the 3 teens lol.

Good vacay

The location was perfect. As far as the condo, there was construction right outside of balcony that started every morning at 7am. I do wish I had known this prior to booking bc I would not have chosen the unit. Also, one of the 2 elevators was broken and not usable. This was very much inconvenient when loading and unloading bc you had to go completely around the entire building.

My First Time to See the Ocean

This was a beautiful property, well laid out to host a family. Two bathrooms made coming in from the beach a lot less hectic. There was construction going on in the building beside us, and it was sometimes very noisy, but the thoughtfulness of the host made up for it. Any dish, pot, or pan we needed was readily available with a dishwasher to clean up. We used the washer and dryer and only took clean clothes home. I can't wait to return for another stay at Sugar Beach.

Hot mess!!

The AC went out so it was 82 degrees upstairs, but they did manage to get it fixed by that night. The condo only gives ONE parking pass, so be prepared to purchase another one if driving two vehicles. If they can’t sell you a pass, they will put you in a spill over lot that’s 11 minutes away. The condo was broke into the week before we got there, so there is no door knob if you want the door to secure it has to be dead bolted. The kitchen has ZERO water pressure, so good luck rinsing dishes! The pictures are not up to date. NO beach view at all! Walk out the balcony and see a huge construction project (which begins at 7am). Also, bring plenty of blankets, they do provide sheets, but no comforters on the beds (like the picture shows). Parking is a nightmare and the pool in the middle of the condos needs some serious attention. Elevators take FOREVER, so be ready to do the stairs A LOT. Seems like people have left reviews similar to mine, and none has been fixed! We vacation at OB every summer and this was by far the worst condominium we have personally experienced. Wish I could post pictures, I documented all it’s faults. We left a day early to come home!

Amazing trip

We had a great time and loved the condo. We did have construction from our balcony view but we adapted fast and still had a great time. Water pressure in kitchen could be a little better. Beautiful condo and great over all experience. Thanks

Nice Condo Loud Construction Zone!

While a bit dated, the condo was clean and well maintained. It had everything needed for a clean and comfortable stay. However, the peaceful dunes in the photos no longer are there. They have been replaced by a construction zone. Work starts well before 8 in the morning and continues all day. I needed to work remotely during my stay. At times, the construction noise was so loud I had difficulty meeting with my co-workers. If you are planning a quite beach get away, I would find an alternate place to stay until the building is complete!

Perfect getaway.

My boyfriend and I wanted to go on one last big vacation before beginning my masters program come August. It was so perfect for the 2 of us. I know it says it sleeps more, but I'm unsure if I'd have more people in the condo. Maybe one other? For the two of us though, it was so spacious with the perfect little kitchen and balcony viewing the gulf. We had all the amenities we needed and more. The place was extremely clean and seemed very quiet on our side of the building. If we faced the pool, it would have been much crazier and more loud. But where we were at was so perfect and peaceful, quiet once it was dark. I would absolutely return, great quality for a great price. :) The dish washer didn't work but we didn't want to mess with maintenance when we just wanted to relax, but it also wasn't a big deal to us. Until next time sugar beach!

Best thing about this property is the BEACH!!

I'm not sure where to start with this review.... From the moment we walked into the Condo and were greeted with the smell of dead fish - it was like a slap in the face. The refrigerator also smelled of fish - I immediately went to the store to buy some baking soda to try to absorb the smell so our food wouldn't taste like dead fish. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of necessities but was not organized in any way so you really had to search for what you wanted to use. I think that the saying here would be 'less is more'. With as small as the kitchen is you should provide the necessities but not the abundance of crap that was in the cabinets and pantry. The one kitchen tool that was lacking was a good rubber spatula. I could only find one metal spatula and it was awful! Then walking up the stairs - the carpet is in very bad shape and looks unclean. There were several bulbs in the vanity that were burnt out. Now on to the bathrooms - the upstairs toilet was very slow to flush, the shower didn't drain and the shower head was like a trickle. We used the downstairs shower which was tiny but at least it drained. The sink in the downstairs bathroom didn't drain well either. The bed upstairs was rock hard and had we not played so hard on the beach we may not have gotten any sleep. It doesn't look like it has been painted in years and there were stains on the ceiling. We did contact management and they offered to come work on the unit - however, what is the point of having a rental when you have to have someone in your unit working to make it subpar. Maintenance did come but they were there to repair a broken leg on the bed? Seriously - didn't even know about that. We left a day early and drove home. When dropping off the keys I gave them a list of all the deficiencies of the unit. The pics look good but as we all know looks can be deceiving! If our daughter did not have celiac disease that requires that we make most of her meals to prevent cross contamination we would have left and checked into a hotel. The best thing about this unit is the BEACH!!! It was absolutely awesome and we will definitely come back to Orange Beach but not this unit! I would not recommend it to anyone!! It was a total waste of money!!

Curbside charm

While this condo at Sugar Beach has charming appeal, the couch is super uncomfortable to sit on as well as sleep. The only piece of comfortable furniture in the whole place is the bed upstairs. The bathroom upstairs seems to lack a normal sized toilet that was made for small people or children. It was way too cramped. You are not getting a straight on Gulf view but the view is not bad and the balcony has a nice small table and chairs. If you bring 4 adults to this condo it will be cramped. Overall, every other thing about the condo was great. It had everything you could imagine to cook with, but again the kitchen was a small and cramped space. Due to my age and inability to climb stairs constantly, I would not choose to stay at this condo again.
