Welcome to our family home in the medieval village of Oppède le Vieux, a dream destination for lovers of old stones and their history. Nestled in the heart of the Luberon Regional Park, you’ll be close to all its stunning perched villages (Gordes, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lourmarin, and more). Travelers come here to relax with family and friends, enjoy the pool, hike through the garrigue, cycle, and explore the region’s vineyards.
Our 18th-century village house can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 bedrooms across the first and second floors, each with its own bathroom. The rooms include:
- One bedroom with a 160 cm double bed,
- One bedroom with a 140 cm double bed,
- Three bedrooms with twin beds,
- One bedroom with two single canopy beds.
The ground floor features a large kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, stone vaults, and a TV area, as well as a dining room. Both the living room and kitchen open directly onto a first garden with a barbecue and a dining table under a wrought-iron pergola. A secure gate leads to the overflow pool (11x4.5m, depth 140-175 cm) with a view of the medieval and Renaissance village. Additionally, a private enclosed parking area with an automatic gate (space for 3-4 cars) and a second lower garden complete the property.
Our home is designed to welcome families with children of all ages. The garden is fully secured with locked gates and barriers to restrict access to the pool, stairs, etc.
For babies we provide:
Two baby cots with mattresses and sheets,
Two high chairs,
Two baby bathtubs,
Baby dishes,
A baby carrier and a folding stroller.
For younger children, there is:
A child’s bed (for ages 3-6),
A booster seat,
Child-friendly dishes,
A playhouse at the bottom of the garden.
For older children and adults, there’s a ping-pong table and 6 sun loungers by the pool.
All staircases are equipped with handrails, but the house is not suitable for people with mobility issues, as the original stone stairs have uneven steps.
For your convenience, the price includes household linen (sheets and towels; bath towels are not provided) and end-of-stay cleaning.
As we are in Provence, the garden features local, drought-resistant plants (olive trees, fig trees, cypresses, hackberries, sassafras, false acacia, aromatic herbs, winter jasmine, etc.). We’ve chosen a "natural" garden over a strictly manicured one to limit water usage, a precious local resource. Only the first garden is watered continuously. We hope you’ll appreciate this eco-friendly choice.
We can’t wait to welcome you and share the sweetness of life in Oppède!
