  • Harbor House is your own private waterfront retreat—an ideal escape for relaxation and recreation. This spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bath home offers 1,850 square feet of comfort, set on 2.5 serene acres. Every bedroom features stunning water views, creating a peaceful and picturesque experience from sunrise to sunset.

    Step outside and enjoy the private pier, an expansive deck, and sweeping views of the water. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee at sunrise or unwinding as the sun sets, this home offers a truly unique vantage point for both.

    For outdoor fun, Harbor House is fully equipped with 6 kayaks and a canoe (life jackets included), bikes, fishing poles, cornhole boards, a spikeball set, and crab pots. Paddle through calm waters, explore the scenic one-mile gravel road by bike or on foot, or simply relax and take in the surroundings at your own pace.

    The oversized deck provides plenty of space for lounging, sunbathing, and gathering with family and friends. Nestled along Winter Harbor, which opens to the Chesapeake Bay, the property offers breathtaking views in every direction.
    Prefer to stay indoors? Cozy up with a book or enjoy your favorite shows and movies on the Smart TV with DirecTV, or browse the Blu-ray collection—all while still taking in those beautiful water views. High-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi ensures you stay connected throughout your stay.

The property had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen and crab off the dock. We enjoyed the beauty of the property including the indoor living spaces, the spacious deck, the firepit, and the private dock. Harbor House was a peaceful place to unwind, enjoy the outdoors, and to spend quality family time.

Views were fantastic! Loved the availability of kayaks and canoe with easy launch on the dock. Deck was spacious with plenty of seating for outdoor enjoyment. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels for a full weeks stay with a full house. Kitchen was very well furnished, all the pots/pans/dishes we needed to do a lot of family meals. It was really nice to have some basics (oil/sugar/flour/basic spices) on hand. The birding was fantastic, both on the water and in the woods. We are already planning when we might return! Communication with the host was fantastic and thorough to make arrival and departure a breeze.

Lovely get away home

We had an amazing time staying at this property. It’s definitely off the beaten path but the home was beautiful, well maintained, and clean. Everything about our trip was easy and the property was even prettier than the pictures.

A peaceful getaway

Enjoyed waking up to the sunrises, reading on the deck, fishing and crabbing off the dock, strolling down the road and visiting Mathews. A perfect getaway to slow down and recharge.

We had a truly lovely stay at the Harbor House. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a quiet getaway by the water. Great Rental Home. Beautiful views of the water from the deck or dock to fish or go crabbing. Host gave us great information before our stay and had everything available for us to enjoy. Great Wifi too! Had a great time!

House was great! Fully stocked in all ways - kitchen, bathrooms, outdoor amenities. We enjoyed crabbing and kayaking, and hanging out on the deck. Great communication with host.

Wonderful amenities. Caught eel, sting ray, squid, crabs, shrimp and a variety of fish from the dock where we spent the vast majority of our time.

Very Peaceful Vacation Home

Our family really enjoyed our stay and will return again. The house is very clean and well stocked. The water view and sunsets are incredible. Crabbing from the pier was really good giving us steam crabs and crab cakes each night from the crabpots at the end of the private pier.

This place was amazing for our family. My boys absolutely love the water and fishing. They were on the dock the majority of the time. They enjoyed learning how to do crabbing and going out in the kayaks. If we venture back to Virginia, we will stay again!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy

House was the perfect choice for our family vacation!! The house itself is beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. Just as nice as the pictures, if not better. We enjoyed hours of fun during the day on the dock fishing and crabbing. At night the fire pit was the perfect place to be. Would definitely recommend
