Peaceful - Beach Side Studio Cottage with Beach Access

Relax and unwind.

The Beautiful Pickering studio apartment features a newly renovated bathroom, full kitchen, and beach views. Located on the water of Eld Inlet in a quiet forested area, within easy driving distance of Downtown Olympia and multiple National and State Parks. A cozy retreat!

Book the main house next door as well for additional sleeping space, large living areas, water-facing deck, and hot tub! Check out VRBO listing #640021.
*The hot tub is available to main house guests only.
This lovely studio cottage is 200 square feet with a fully stocked kitchen, a renovated bathroom with tiled shower, and a queen bed. Dining area is appropriate for remote work, with two chairs. Located near the water, with beach access. From the dining table there are lovely views of Puget Sound & Mount Rainier. Adjacent patio and chairs.

Complimentary wifi & cable TV.

Complimentary beach access, parking, and laundry in neighboring garage.

Driveway, laundry, kayaks, and beach access are shared with the main house on the property that is usually occupied. There is plenty of room and space for all the enjoy the peace and quiet!

The mild winters and warm summers offer a perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

Kayaks available to rent for a nominal fee with advance notice, when available.
RV parking available at the top of the driveway upon request.
Boat rides on the bay are available to book upon request at $100/hour, weather and schedule dependent. Please message host if you'd like to book a power boat tour.
Massages are available upon request. These need to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

There are two residences on this property. There is a main house and this studio. The beach access is shared between the two guests.

We love our special retreat and hope you will too! We expect all guests to treat the property, neighbors, and guests at nearby rentals with respect. When we receive your booking request, we'll send out a rental agreement. Here are the basics of what you can expect:
Check in is after 4pm on arrival day; check out is by 11am on departure day. No late checkouts unless otherwise arranged
Use of wifi, cable tv, utilities, sheets & towels, kitchen equipment, board games is included with your stay
Beach access is shared with others on the property
Kayak rentals are subject to a nominal fee for use during the entirety of your stay
No smoking
No pets
No damage to house, furniture, or amenities
No additional guests, unless otherwise arranged

We may charge a fee if these expectations are not followed. Please message us with any questions and as any issues arise. We aim to provide a great experience for our guests, and look forward to hosting you!

Perfect location for our trips to Mt. Ranier, Mt. Saint Helens, Seattle and Olympic Park. We enjoyed our glass of wine every night out on the patio enjoying the water. My only challenges were the key pad entry and the light for the bathroom light. We really enjoyed it.

We had the best stay!!! Beautiful views, cute little cottage. Such a great spot to spend quality much needed time with my husband. Next time we will have to rent the bigger house for the whole family.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage! Beautiful views and just a quick walk to the beach which I highly recommend taking advantage of. Kitchen is of course on the smaller side so I wouldn’t recommend any super intense cooking like we attempted, but other than that it was just perfect for the weekend we had planned. Host was super friendly and accommodating as well. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Just What I Needed

Little cottage by the bay

Take me back to the little cottage by the bay!! Already missing the peace & serenity of this special place. Very clean accommodations with everything you’ll need for relaxing get away. Quiet, safe location…just the right amount of distance from any city busyness. Breathtaking views including Mt.Raniere. Caretaker Wendy is super helpful & very quick to respond to inquiries. I can’t say enough about this lovely vacation spot. Just what I was in need of & looking for. Have confidence booking this rental…it will not disappoint!

Perfect Beach Cottage

Yes we stayed in a beach cottage in the middle of winter. It was so cozy and quiet and the little heater worked great It was nice not hearing the freeway or other neighbors thumping around. We live in a condo in the city back at home. It was perfect for a couple or a single person. WiFi worked great and we were right by the water. We were actually in Olympia area searching for our retirement home and found it! Such a cute place and a very successful trip! Maybe we can come back in the summer at some point for a staycation!

Quiet peaceful place

We enjoyed our stay even on a rainy winter day. We walked to the beach between rains and were able to access it easily. The bathroom is small with little counter space by the sink but it's all workable. It was great having a full size refrigerator. The parking was very well arranged as well as the ability to drive close to the cabin door to unload.

Cozy cottage has my heart

Absolutely beautiful and lovely. As a native arizonian, being by the water and surrounded by trees has been lovely. The hosts have been lovely as well with their recommendations and communication in general. Would absolutely recomend for any person or parteners <3.
