Renovated, authentic fisherman's house in the historic city center CO2 neutral

Casa Salinas is an authentic fisherman's house in the style of the Algarve. It is located in the historic center of Olhão, close to many wonderful restaurants and cafés, the famous fish and vegetable markets, numerous shops and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. The house is within walking distance of the ferry to the beautiful coastal islands and some of the best beaches in Portugal. Casa Salinas is just 15 minutes drive from Faro Airport, 40 minutes to the Spanish border and 30 minutes to many of the famous Algarve golf courses along the coast. The hilly landscape, which is located near the coast, is full of natural beauty, farms, plantations and vineyards and is a great place for hiking and relaxing.
This hinterland has many charming and original historic towns and villages, characterized by culture and tradition, and are a must for a trip to the Algarve.

This fully renovated three-storey townhouse has been lovingly restored with care to preserve the authentic charm of an Algarve-style house. This beautiful corner house has all day sunshine and breathtaking views of the marina and the nearby islands.
On the ground floor there are two cozy bedrooms with luxurious double beds and a bathroom with shower / WC. Two double doors on the first floor open the kitchen / living area to a spacious terrace. It is a real treat to enjoy meals or a drink on this south-facing sun terrace.
The upper terrace offers a fantastic view over the rooftops of this beautiful old town and is a great place to relax.

The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The house is so well equipped it has everything you could possibly need and more. The location is amazing. Very quiet and a stones throw from everywhere. Also within easy walking access for train station and large supermarkets within Olhao. Patricia (property contact) is super efficient. Très beau logement.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette location : logement conforme à l’annonce, très bien équipé et parfaitement situé. Tout était propre et agréable, ce qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement de nos vacances.Petit bémol toutefois : neuf jours après notre départ, le propriétaire nous a contactés en nous réclamant de l’argent pour une dégradation dont nous ne sommes pas responsables, d’autant que d’autres locataires étaient passés après nous. C’est dommage, car sans cet incident la prestation aurait été parfaite.

Das Haus und die Ausstattung waren hervorragend und außerordentlich geschmackvoll. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und auch die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern und der Kontaktperson vor Ort waren jederzeit unproblematisch und nett. Zudem haben wir wirklich gute Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen vor Ort bekommen. Das Haus ist rundum zu empfehlen.

Super Ferienhaus mitten in der quirligen Altstadt

Wir waren vom 20.07. - 10.08.2024 in Olhão. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist ausgezeichnet. Besonders die obere Dachterrasse hatte es uns sehr angetan. Dort geht immer erwas Wind und die Aussicht ist einfach wunderschön. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und der Betreuerin vor Ort war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können das Objekt sehr empfehlen. Sehnsucht nach Olhao

Wir haben 10 Tage im Casa Salinas verbracht und uns dort wunderbar aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Kommunikation zur Schlüsselübergabe mit Patricia war unproblematisch und sie war uns gerne auch auf Anfrage behilflich (Organisation eines nächtlichen Taxitransfers zum Flughafen). Das Haus ist sehr sauber und insbesondere in der Küch äußerst umfangreich ausgestattet. Die beiden Dachterrassen laden zum Verweilen ein und wir haben uns dort zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit gerne aufgehalten. Alle Geschäfte, die Markthallen, Restaurants und der Fähranleger sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, so dass man sich eigentlich für nichts einen Plan machen muss, sondern den Urlaubstag schön auf sich zukommen lassen und spontan entscheiden kann, was als nächstes passieren soll. Da wir nur zu zweit unterwegs waren, hat es uns nicht gestört, dass eines der beiden Schlafzimmer nicht über ein Fenster verfügt - wir haben es nicht genutzt. Allerdings ist in beiden Zimmern ein Klimagerät vorhanden, so dass dieser Nachteil nicht so sehr ins Gewicht fallen dürfte. Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt fanden wir extrem schön und wir haben dafür gerne in Kauf genommen, dass man nachts schonmal Nachbarn hören kann, wenn sie sich draußen unterhalten. Insgesamt ist es eine kleine und ruhige Gasse, in der auch keine Autos fahren. Fazit: Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen!

Beautiful Olhao Fishermans house

Had a wonderful weeks stay at Casa Salinas which is located on a quiet street close to the centre of Olhao. Smooth check in with Patricia who explained how everything worked and was very easy to contact on arrival. The house is beautiful, well equipped and lovingly restored. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Inmitten der Altstadt von Olhao haben wir uns in dem geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Die gut ausgestattete Küche bot uns die Möglichkeit, den Einkauf aus den Markthallen zu leckeren Gerichten zu verarbeiten. Bei schönstem Sommerwetter (im April!!) verbrachten wir die meiste Zeit auf den beiden Terrassen. Über den Dächern der Altstadt war der Ausblick beim Sonnenauf-, und Untergang einzigartig. Patricia, die freundliche Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort, stand uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Unsere absolute Empfehlung!!!

James and his local representative, Patricia, were the perfect hosts and did everything possible to make an enjoyable stay. We usually hire a car, but didn't this time; it was rge right decision. Uber to and from Faro airport is easy and once there, the trains work well (although the timetable us more aspirational than real). Fares are very low by UK standards. Plenty of places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk. Suitable for couples, but steep stairs may rule it out if you have mobility issues or if you're a young chikd.

Unser Aufenthalt in Portugal , in Olhao, war wunderschön! Der Kontakt zu unserer Gastgeberin Sylke im Vorfeld war bereits sehr sympathisch und hilfreich. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von Patricia (wohnt nebenan) sehr nett empfangen. Sie hatte kurz vor unserer Anreise per Whatsapp schon Kontakt aufgenommen und war auch während der gesamten Zeit immer ansprechbar und außerordentlich hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, hochwertige Boxspringbetten, 3 Sonnenliegen auf auf der Dachterasse, Loungemöbel auf der Terasse im 1. OG - alles da. Wir haben es genossen 'mittendrin' zu sein im Leben von Olhao. Die historische Altstadt ist wirklich wunderschön. Es gibt eine schöne Bäckerei ganz in der Nähe und auch einen kleinen Supermarkt. Da haben wir immer Getränke gekauft, damit wir sie nicht so weit tragen mussten. Zur Fähre geht man ca. 10-15 Min. Es lohnt sich rechtzeitig da zu sein, um bei diesen Temperaturen einen schattigen Warteplatz am Anfang der unglaublich (!) langen Warteschlangen zu bekommen. Verrückt, dass tatsächlich all diese Menschen immer auf die Fähre gepasst haben! Unser Lieblingsstrand war der in Farol. Es ist zwar die längste Fährzeit (40 Min.), dafür aber der kürzeste Fussweg (ca. 10 Min.) vom Fähranleger über die Insel zu einem traumhaft schönen, großen, weiten goldenen Strand. Mittendrin im Sommer, mittendrin in Portugal - ein traumhafter Urlaub - herzlichen Dank!

Perfekte Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft ist so schön wie auf den Bildern! Alles ist sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, Restaurants sind in 2 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, und trotzdem ist es angenehm ruhig. Die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern und die Schlüsselübergabe haben perfekt funktioniert. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Wer einen lebendigen Ort (Olhao ist keine Partystadt) sucht, und trotzdem seine Ruhe haben möchte ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Obrigado por tudo

Un petit coin de bonheur

Si le GPS a eu beaucoup de mal a trouver l'emplacement exact de la maison, le reste n'a été que du bonheur. A peine à 100m de la marina, cette ancienne maison de pêcheur a été rénovée avec beaucoup de goût et nous offert un séjour très confortable. On trouve rapidement les endroits stratégiques de la maison entre RDC et les 2 terrasses pour se protéger de la chaleur estivale. Et la clim dans les chambres est la bienvenue. La maison est extrêmement bien équipée et idéalement située pour profiter de la ville sans prendre sa voiture. Pour stationner, il ne sert à rien de s'engouffrer dans le dédale de ruelles, il suffit d'aller vers le poste de police. Je recommande fortement !

Gelungener Urlaub

Ein sehr hübsches Haus im Stadtzentrum von Olhão. Die Beschreibung und die Bilder sind sehr aussagekräftig. Man hat nur kurze Fußwege bis zum Hafen, den Markthallen und der Altstadt. Wir haben das Angebot in den Markthallen an frischem Fisch, Käse, Obst und Gemüse sehr genossen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, sodass man leckere Mahlzeiten zubereiten kann um diese auf den tollen Terrassen zu genießen. Zu den Stränden kommt man mit Booten oder ein Stück der Küste entlang mit dem Auto. Es gibt dort viele Möglichkeiten für Unternehmungen. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und wären auch gerne noch länger geblieben.

Tolles Stadthaus in Olhao

Tolles kleines Stadthaus mitten im "maurischen Viertel" von Olhao. Das Haus ist in einem tadellosen Zustand, geschmackvoll und zweckmäßig eingerichtet und ist voll ausgestattet. Von der Küchenausstattung bis zum Strandschirm. Die Treppen, sind entsprechend der Beschreibung, nicht für alle geeignet. Aber in Stadthäusern der Algarve ist dies ganz normal, wir haben da schon ganze andere Stufenmaße bewältigt. Wer gut zu Fuß ist, hat gar keine Probleme. Schlafzimmer, Bad, Küche sind wie beschrieben, die beiden Terrassen sind unglaublich! Die Terrasse im 1. OG ist riesig, hier lässt es sich gut entspannen. Die Dachterrasse mit Blick aufs Wasser ist fantastisch. Dass Haus befindet sich nur 3 Minuten von den Markthallen entfernt. In der näheren Umgebung findet man auch problemlos einen Parkplatz. Besten Dank an die Eigentümer für die unkomplizierte Abwicklung und vor allem vielen Dank an Patricia vor Ort für die Schlüsselübergabe. Alles ist rundum stimmig, ein wundervolles Urlaubsdomizil. Rundum empfehlenswert

Ein wunderschönes FH mitten in der Altstadt von Olhâo. Sehr ruhig gelegen und trotzdem ist alles fussläufig erreichbar; viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr schöne Sandstrände auf den vorgelagerten Inseln machen den Urlaub perfekt. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern und Patricia vor Ort funktioniert sehr gut und man stand uns stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Charmante maison dans village de pêche

Maison idéalement située dans Olhão, dans une petite rue à 5 minutes du marché aux poissons. Elle est petite mais très fonctionnelle et confortable. Les terrasses sont très très agréables pour déjeuner ou se reposer. Patricia nous a accueillis très chaleureusement et l'éhange avec le propriétaire s'est très bien passé.

Prima verblijf

Heel rustige buurt, alle accomodatie en voorzieningen aanwezig. Moeilijke trap: niet voor kinderen onder10 jaar of ouderen die slecht te been zijn. Ideale uitvalsbasis aan de kust. Verzorgde vakantiewoning.

Maison accueillante

Une petite maison à la déco sobre et raffinée, tout est pensé pour le bien-être des nouveaux venus. Un seul hic, l'escalier, ah l'escalier... il est si raide, les marches sont si hautes et si inégales... Cet endroit n'est pas à conseiller à des gens âgés, ou qui ont mal aux genoux. Il faudrait le signaler dans l'annonce.
