Acerca de este alojamiento

Suwannee River Canopy Cabin - 5 Min Walk to Gornto Springs - Wetland Bridge View

  • Secluded Suwannee River cabin, just a 5-minute walk to natural springs and a public boat ramp, with scenic wetland views and a striking suspension bridge over the water.

Welcome to RowanWick Canopy, where the forest awaits.

Perched 6 feet above the wetlands along Florida’s historic Suwannee River, this one-of-a-kind, pet-friendly stilt cabin places you among towering cypress, moss, and native Florida scenery. It’s a peaceful woodland escape with a view you won’t soon forget.

The cabin accommodates up to 6 guests with two bedrooms: one with a full-size bed and one with bunk beds. The top bunk has a low ceiling and is best suited for a child. A full-size sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space, with a cot available if needed.

Step onto the raised river-facing deck and settle into the swing with your morning coffee or enjoy lunch at the picnic table while taking in the wetlands and suspension bridge beyond. Listen to the birds, watch the light move through the trees, and enjoy your own little corner of river country.

On the other side of the cabin, a ground-level deck and fire pit offer another inviting place to unwind. Gather around the fire, relax on the wagon-wheel-style furniture, and enjoy the peaceful woodland setting as the day winds down.

Nestled on a quiet dirt road, RowanWick Canopy feels wonderfully removed from the everyday while keeping the river close at hand. Gornto Springs and the public boat ramp are just a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to bring your boat, kayak, paddleboard, or fishing gear. A river map with suggested kayak trips and local routes is provided at the cabin.

Gornto Springs offers swimming, a jumping dock, picnic area, playground, showers, and a public boat launch. The area is also popular for exploring by horseback, ATV, and golf cart, and guests are welcome to bring their own.

Fanning Springs is about 20 miles away, while Manatee Springs State Park is approximately 30 miles away, offering more opportunities to experience Florida’s spring-fed waterways and wildlife. Manatees are often seen at Manatee Springs during the cooler winter months.

For hiking, biking, and wildlife adventures, Log Landing Wildlife Management Area and the Nature Coast Trail near the Suwannee River Bridge are also nearby.

The suspension bridge is a beautiful part of the scenery and a memorable backdrop for photography and relaxation. Please note: the bridge is on restricted property and is for viewing only. Guests are not permitted to enter or walk on the bridge.

Whether you're planning a Florida cabin getaway, spring adventure, kayaking trip, or simply a place to slow down and reconnect with nature, RowanWick Canopy invites you to leave the ordinary behind.

    The forest awaits… you.
