Ohope Beach The Beach Hut

This bach has an awesome 'feel' to it, while in keeping with the traditional bach of yesteryear. Board games and outdoor games rather than WIFI.
Large deck with outside bar from the kitchen window for entertaining.
Endless beach, for morning sunrise walks or late evening sunsets.
Can swim or surf all day long. Another surf beach is located at West End Ohope.
This property does NOT have enclosed fencing. No WIFI

Launch your contiki from the beach
Shop on the corner offers SUP (stand up paddleboard hire) also great fish n chips. Coffee or beer while you wait.
The wharf is a big attraction for kids - swimming or fishing
Or launch your boat from either Ohope or Whakatane. Bring a road cycle there is plenty of places to ride to, or mountain biking tracks on Burma Road.
A quick drive over the Ohope hill to Whakatane where there is shopping, cafes, movie theatre, pubs, bars, churches, walking trails, fast food outlets and so much more.

Family visit

The bach was great. Very well equipped and great location for visiting family who live locally. Shame about the weather but i guess we'll give the owners a pass on that and lay the blame on the remnants of CycloneTam. The day we left was glorious!! Oh well...

Well priced and resourced bach with excellent proximity to varied activities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay and would recommend it to others. It was a bonus to be so close to both beach and harbour without getting into a car. The kitchen and laundry was very well equipped and the ultra fresh, crisp linen and towels were much appreciated. The bathroom was modern and very clean with a lovely shower. Thank you for sharing your bach with us!

Excellent facilities as described, fantastic location across the road from the beach, Not too far from the local cafes and also the famous Ohope golf course. We will definitely be back next year!

Great stay in Ohope

This bach was great. We loved the location opposite the beach, the big deck for eating outside and the lawn area. The bach was very clean and very well appointed. The photos didn’t do it justice. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely bach at NZ's best beach

We had a wonderful time at the Beach Hut - the house has everything we needed for our holiday and it was lovely being such a short walk to the beach or the general store. Communication with the hosts was very prompt and friendly.

Awesome holiday.

Very clean, tidy bach with only 2 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the wharf. We had the best time with the grandkids spending their time between the two! Really loved it and would definitely book it again.

Very comfy bed and great shower. Good proximity to cafe but check that it's open. Beautiful beach across the road. Cotton sheets and beach towels! My grandsons loved having a tree to climb and spent a lot of time up there. Good assortment of dishes etc. Clean

Beach Bach/House

All is as advertised Its a typical bach with great kitchen and bathroom, two large bedrooms and a very small bunk room We were very comfortable with it all and spent many hours on the deck under the sun umbrella. However, we paid for Linen, Cleaning and Service fees but in the entire four weeks did not have contact with anyone. Eventually found a cupboard with clean bed linen and towels and were left wondering what we paid these fees for as they lead us to believe that the house would be serviced at least once a week as at previous places we have stayed. Having no Wifi became frustrating after four weeks especially over the Hurrican Gazielle period, as it is in the house - all we needed was the password Lounge curtains need replacing .

Peaceful getaway

Clean, comfortable and within sound of the sea. It looked likely our stay would be cancelled because of the weather, but we made it and despite the rain and wind had a destressing break.

Perfect for a girls weekend!

Get away off season perfect

It was excellent for us as the surrounding baches front of ours were empty so quiet and private. Really appreciated being able to take our westie with us. On reflection as a couple it would lack the privacy if the 2 baches infront of us on the shared driveway were occupied particularly if young families ad busyness that would create.If we had young children it would be great with kids all playing together but we are not of that age.. But it was perfect and we had a restful time in clean comfortable house. Thank you
