Enjoy this beautiful home nestled beneath the pine trees for your next getaway to Maine's southern coast. This home provides the perfect setting for a little peace and quiet and an escape from the noise of the city! This rental has a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of seating for the whole family. A gas grill is also available outside for summertime barbecues! Guests will also find other modern amenities including flatscreen TVs, a stereo, and free WiFi.

Less than half a mile away, you'll find a handful of restaurants to try, while the Beach Plum Lobster Farm, located just around the corner, offers fresh lobsters that can be prepared right in the home! Footbridge Beach is also less than a half mile away so you'll be super close to the ocean during your stay!

All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
This home is partly heated via oil heat.
There are two retreats on this property: The main house and the remodeled garage/cottage. This home is the main house. Both rentals share the driveway.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The house is beautiful and very family friendly. The only problem is that the mattresses in the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs front bedroom are very uncomfortable and could easily be replaced. We recommend it very highly.

Perfect location

We absolutely loved the property. Very unique! The location to the beach couldn’t have been better. This road is not the main side road to Footbridge Beach so it was much quieter. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Home and Location

What a unique and beautiful home! So much character and very practical for a short or long stay. Great blend of modern amenities and vintage character/furnishings. Plenty of room for a small group and ideal location. The beach is magnificent and a short walk away. One note about the property manager, Vacasa. Their customer service is friendly and responsive, but they need to do a better job of prepping the property... was missing shades in one bedroom and sheets on two of the beds. Had to hang blankets over the windows for privacy and dig through the house to find sheets and then wash them. A minor inconvenience, but notable when you're paying extra to deal with a property manager. Vacasa expressed condolences but ultimately never acted to make it right. Perhaps there was nothing they can do practically. Hopefully a one time anomaly... I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again.. it's special.

A house with character near the beach

I stayed here for two weeks in August with my husband, mom and one-year old son. We loved how close it was to Footbridge Beach, and accessible to so many restaurants right off of Route 1. The house is older, and has a ton of character, with a lot of the original details preserved. It was great to have a separate office space, and laundry. More fans or air conditioning in the living room would have been nice on the hotter days, but otherwise we enjoyed our time there, and Grant was a very helpful host.

Outstanding

Location is absolutely perfect, a 5 minute walk from Footbridge Beach. House is very charming and full of character. We fell in love with with. House is old so bedrooms are small but common areas very large. Living room is particularly fabulous. All all the amenities you can need. Owner very responsive. And, again, this is a beach vacation home so location, location, location!

Location and home are very desirable. However, a few suggestions.. A more thorough cleaning. Removal of hosts clothing and belongings. Provide beach chairs. Increased out door seating. Table for two in a 3 bedroom house is unacceptable

Amazing Getaway

Our family felt right at home at this property. We were able to take a short stroll to the beach to watch sun rise and sun set. During the day we were able to drive into town, less than five minutes away, to explore all the shops and walk on Marginal Way. This property did not disappoint, enough space and comfort for our entire family. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay!

Just a short walk to Footbridge beach and at the other end of the road there is a trolly stop to take you to downtown and Perkins cove! Very clean house and everything you need for the stay! I recommend this house!
