Welcome to Westwood House, a comfortable coastal retreat just four blocks from the beach featuring an ocean-view rooftop deck and multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. The home offers 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, with sleeping arrangements including 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, a 1 bunk bed a double over a twin bed, with a queen bed, and 2 sofa sleepers, making it ideal for families or groups. Inside, enjoy a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a gas range, a four-door refrigerator, granite countertops, and a large island for dining and entertaining. The main living room includes plush seating, a gas fireplace, and a 60-inch smart TV, while the loft provides a flexible space with a sleeper sofa, office setup, 50-inch TV, Xbox 360, plus a guitar and telescope. The spacious primary suite features a king bed, private balcony, and spa-style en suite bathroom with a jetted tub, walk-in shower, and double vanity. Outdoor living includes balconies, a patio, and a rooftop deck with Pacific Ocean views, a dining area, a grill, and lounge seating. Additional amenities include a 2-car garage plus street parking.

You are booking with Casago San Diego, a professional local property management company. We require guests to complete our own “Vacation Rental Agreement” after they've made their booking. We do this to ensure quality and consistency for our guests and our homeowners.

Beautiful house in a convenient area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. The place is spacious, very clean, and the kitchen has some of the best pans I've ever seen in a vrbo. There is a market just a few steps away from the house which is also very convenient and the beach is a ten minute walk away.Also, we accidentally left something in the house and the property managers were very responsive about how to get the item back to us.

Enjoy this property great view really nice house the third floor balcony could’ve been a little cleaner and the Wi-Fi wasn’t that good besides that great house and we will definitely come back.

Spacious and convenient

Walkable location to beach, market, restaurant, shops. House related issues need attention: blinds broken or ill functioning, bathtub faucet leaks, french door knob fell off. Kitchen needs more sponges or cloths to wipe counters. Aluminum foil, ziplock bags needed. Upgrade toilet paper.

Spacious house

I enjoyed the lay out of the house. Smelled clean. There was some dust and cobwebs. We were a bit disappointed that the jacuzzi didn’t work in the tub. Although it states 2 car garage, there is only room to park one car. The side door to access the house was muddy from the rain. It has some stones to step on but they are spaced out to far. Shorter people and kids don’t have a choice but to walk on the muddy ground. Also there were throw blankets available but they were dirty. Other than that we did enjoy our stay.

Good house with room for improvement

The house itself was great. It had great space, the rooms were good size, and so were the bathrooms. It had a great loft space on the 3rd floor with a nice outdoor area. The washer and dryer were definitely a great amenity and there should probably be a picture of them in the listing (was one of the questions we never got a response to). The garage was a great amenity since there are no great areas to park and there are a lot of homeless people around. One of the days they were even looking inside garages as we were leaving. The biggest problem we had was the internet. There is no cable tv so everything needed to be streamed so you’re fully dependent on the wifi. The house needs a new router and a mesh system is what would probably work best there. The internet would not work on the 3rd floor and on the main floor it was very spotty. The loft bed was missing a rail so for safety purposes it needs one. The dishwasher had its quirks but ultimately ended up working. We had 0 response to 2 questions we made in the Vrbo app, so customer service needs improvement as well. Other than the question referenced above it was unclear where to throw the trash outside. One bin said no trash and the other was the recycling bin so it was very confusing.

Good and Bad

Positives: This house is HUGE and beautiful! The pictures online don't do it justice. The house was immaculate on the inside - very clean. Washer and dryer were amazing to have. Outdoor shower to wash off sand was great to have. Fans in every room were much appreciated. Well stocked kitchen, new non-stick pots and pans were nice! Negatives: We went in July - although the temps outside were nice (70s) the house was incredibly stuffy inside. We tried to open windows to let the air in, but due to the location of the house it was almost better to just suffer in the stuffiness. The house is location is not ideal. It is located on the main busy road that goes through downtown Oceanside. It is situated next door to a busy 24 hour gas station, a Motel 8 and Motel 6, a busy restaurant, a liquor store and an empty overgrown lot filled with trash. We witnessed a lot of questionable activities going on in the empty lot next door (people urinating in public, random cars would pull in at different hours, homeless, etc) We tried to leave the windows open to air out the house but the amount of noise from cars, fireworks, gunshots (?), people and restaurant noise was unbearable. We would wake up to loud noises every 5 seconds. It was awful. So we shut the windows and dealt with it which made sleeping impossible. The house is technically "walkable" to the beach, but not really. We drove to the beach and parked. I can't imagine walking. It's pretty far. Will not stay at this house again.
