Perfectly located to explore all that Oceanside, San Diego, and Orange County have to offer. Relax on the patio, stroll to sunset dinners, or hop the train for coastal adventures. Ideal for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, beach-close escape.

We fell in love with Oceanside’s laid-back coastal charm. It’s the perfect location to explore all that Southern California offers — just a short trip north to Orange County or south to San Diego.

Oceanside has something for everyone: beautiful beaches, a lively harbor, great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and unique local stores. We love strolling the Thursday morning Farmers Market and Sunset Market on Thursday nights, riding bikes along the Strand, and catching sunsets at the harbor or pier.

When we’re feeling adventurous, we hop on the Coaster train for a day in San Diego to enjoy the art, culture, and entertainment — then return to our relaxed beach community to unwind.

The host(s) were wonderful. Responsive, thorough in the information they provided and the information about the house was spot on! We loved the house. We brought our dog and the house is fenced in all the way around so he wasn't cooped up.

We had stayed here once before with another couple for 2 nights and really enjoyed the house. It is great for 2 couples with each bedroom having their own spacious bathroom. We enjoyed the house so much that we booked for a month! July 7-Aug 7. The house has a comfortable at home feeling. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, which we did a lot of. Beds in both rooms VERY comfortable. Although the house has A/C we didn’t use it once. The air flow is great and we loved the fresh air. The train depot is right across from the house. Trains do not blow their horns. We took the train to a couple Padre games, to Irvine to have dinner with our kids and even to an Angel game. Metrolink on weekends is 5 senior and 10 adult kids free round trip all day on sat/sun. Goes northbound and last stop southbound is Oceanside. Coaster for southbound. House is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, Thursday market fairs. Neighborhood quiet during the week and active on the weekends. Enjoyed sitting on the front patio people watching. This is a great home for short and longer stays. You won’t be disappointed.

This was our second stay in this wonderful vacation home. Location is perfect! A few minute walk you can be at the beach, pier,shops and restaurants. Our teen boys love being able to walk around to the shops and grab a burrito or frozen yogurt. Nice private gated backyard

Description matches!

Great place in close proximity to everything oceanside has to offer. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, the beach! To note though, as another reviewer mentioned, it is across from the nearby train station and a parking lot. Noise from both was generally minimal aside from the occasional train horn/freight train passing, but the lot seemed to be a local hang out place for a homeless person or two while we were staying there.

Great!!

Clean, fenced yard and great location. They had everything we needed for our beach stay. Bike were a great touch however are not meant for people under 5’3 as all but one are men’s and are quite tall.

The Perfect Location

Our stay at this quaint little house was just what is needed for a great beach experience. This house was very clean and located within walking distance to almost anything we needed. This was our second two week stay and we again enjoyed it tremendously.

Best Family Vacation!

The beach cottage was PERFECT for our spring break vacation for our family and dog! The walking proximity to downtown for the food and shops, the sand beach, and transit station to San Diego made this more than an ideal location! We only drove our car once the whole stay because we were able to use the bikes or walk everywhere. We never worried about our 17 and 13 year old "being bored".The cottage was fully stocked with plenty toiletries and the kitchen had everything we needed for a family dinner in when the weather was too rainy for the beach. The linens were clean and two bathrooms were perfect for us. A pleasant surprise was a credenza full of board games and the sunning lawn chairs in the back with outside dining!We had a fantastic family vacation at a beach side location where we could all create core family memories! We would certainly stay here again!

Awesome Oside property

So close to beach and great restaurants. Great beach bikes for cruising. Perfect house for our family vacation. The owner responded right away with any questions that we had. Can’t say enough good about it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again.Highly recommend!

Wonderful!

A great getaway to enjoy the beach, the zoo, Disneyland, the missions... Amazing location near the train, which we used to go to Disney and back, beach, restaurants, San Diego...super comfy and clean and very secure and well equipped. Book this beach house!

Beautiful home in Oceanside

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home in Oceanside. The home has everything you can ask for and comes with a perfect backyard and is one block from the beach and central to everything in Oceanside within walking distance. We will definitely be coming back.

Darling house, fantastic location

This property has been beautifully maintained. Lots of seating in living room and dining. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom and we loved that. Supplies were generous. This is a great property if you need to bring your dogs. A double fenced yard. House is tile throughout. We walked most every where. Five stars.

Visit from NJ to see SDSU student

Awesome. A1. Couldn't ask for a better spot. Went to watch my kid surf from the pier all weekend. Had a great bbq and entertained his friends. The bikes were a huge hit. The house is perfect.

Highly recommend

We had a wonderful week + at the cottage. As described, it was an easy walk to the beach, and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I planned on cooking more - grill worked well - but we ended up eating a lot of amazing tacos at places that were within walking distance. The hosts were super responsive. All in all, we had a terrific time. Highly recommend.
