Exquisite beach cottage with fabulous location on the east end of the island, one mile from OIB Pier. Steps away from public beach access. Four bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 10. Second row home with covered front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the ocean view. Spacious family room with open concept. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops. Flat screen TV's in all bedrooms and living room. Outdoor shower, WiFi, washer/dryer, and plenty of covered parking. Linen service optional for a fee. Saturday to Saturday rental from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Three-night minimum stay Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Not Pleased

Unfortunately this property is minimally cared for and worse, minimally cleaned. Yes, the location is not bad (access to the beach)and there’s a certain amount of good in having everything on one floor. There is zero cabinet storage for food, most bedding of low quality, and just an overall feel of living in a second-hand store.

Ok….but

When we were told we could check in at 2 by the owner, the property wasn’t ready until 4:45. After this, the coffee tables were pushed up against the couch, when moving one (so we could sit down) the glass fell through and broke. After calling the number provided, we were told, clean it up and be careful not to cut yourself. We were also informed that the washing marking start button was missing “but put your finger in the hole, it won’t shock you and you can start it that way.” “I will be back tomorrow to replace”. After 7 days, the button as never replaced. Finally, I get charged $100.00 for glass replacement! The table is required to have safety glass but it was plate glass that shattered when it fell. We had a good time with our family but be prepared to take care of maintenance issues and get charged later for items that aren’t your responsibility. As required by state law, all glass in tables/furniture and low windows are required to be “safety glass”… but it is what it is I suppose:

Wonderful Place, so relaxing.

She didnt seem very big compared to others..lolol however let me say, f@%king amazingly perfect beach away. Perfect layouts for rooms and tons of beach related items. My 5yr granddaughter found something new ever other hour of day..lol It was exactly what my family needed that kind of downtown. Thank you, Donna and John for allowing us the pleasure of staying at your place. Emily and Bret.

Great place near beach access - well stocked for cooking

We had a really relaxing time in this house almost across from the beach access. Beds were comfortable and AC worked well. All was good.

One complaint

We had all that we expected here. The only problem was the construction across the street. Probably not much you could have done about that but there was a great deal of noise. Two of us are “age experienced” and like to sit in the rocker and read a good book and listen to music or the surf. Concrete mixers and nail hammers not too conducive to this. And we didn’t have the stamina to stay all day at the beach. The house was to be our refuge.

Great Beach Cottage

This was a lovely beach cottage just steps from public access. It is very simple, bright and clean, equipped with all we needed to cook on site. While we weren't in need of anything while there, the owner’s communication prior to our stay was fantastic and welcoming.

Amazing vacation

This house was perfect for our family of 8!! It is FULLY stocked with all pots and pans, silverware,etc! The owner is a dream to work with. Everything worked and we had NO issues. That’s a hard find in a rental! The location and parking was great too!
