  • Kiwiana Bach is a beachfront 2 bedroom plus sleepout Ocean Beach bach, just a 20 minute drive from Havelock North. This traditional kiwi bach enjoys an excellent position right on the beach, with a simple set up for classic kiwi summers in the sun!

    Designed by John Scott, this vintage Ocean Beach bach includes cosy open plan living. The compact living area has a fireplace to keep you toasty during cooler stays, or set yourself up on the deck with blissful ocean views for laid back summer stays!

    Bedroom 1 at this Ocean Beach bach is situated directly off the lounge, has a queen bed, and enjoys ocean views. The sleepout includes a queen bed. The main bedroom contains a bunk bed. There is a small bathroom and shower with external access only.

    Kiwiana Bach is positioned perfectly for a traditional kiwi beach getaway... enjoy laid back BBQs in the courtyard, or stroll across the front lawn and onto the gorgeous Ocean Beach!

    Please note that tap water is not drinkable - 1 x 10 litre container of drinking water will be provided by your local manager.

    Please note that bedrooms 1 and 2 do not have a door and these areas are open plan.

    The Sleepout has external access via a covered walkway.

    The bathroom and shower is located outside of the house with external access only.

    Please note the kitchen does not include a stove top, but there is a bench-top oven.

    Please note that there are strict fire bans in place over summer in this area - no outside fire or brazier.

Perfect beach front views Wonderful summer bbq facilities A cute little home to host a trip away with friends and/or family A little way out from Havelock North, but a great place to play board games, swim and have a technology detox

Right by the Beach

Our family has stayed here 3 years in a row now. The kids just love this place, right on the beach makes it the perfect holiday stay.

Beautifully secluded and comfortable only few negative comments

Its beautiful comfortable stay except for toilets and shower facilities being outside the unit. Also some items not clean but had everything that was needed. A suggestion regarding having to bring own linen bath mats and towels can be a problem if visiting from another country as you dont have this available. We had a peaceful stay. Lots of firewood provided and night view of the stars is something that cannot be described.

Lovely relaxing stay

Loved the remoteness of the house. The view was amazing!! No technology was a bonus. So much fun playing on the beach. House was cosy with everything you need.

Great location, open up the back doors and you're on the beach. It is a bit dated, but still has everything you need. Excellent Bach if you want a technology detox as there is no internet or cell service. It is a bit hard to find if you have never been to ocean beach, so I recommend getting detailed directions from the Bach manager (it's over a bridge that says "no public access"). Would definitely stay here again.

Great little bach directly at the beach. Effective wood burner for the cool nights and so many comfortable outdoor seats to choose from. More spacious than we expected and the "rooms" are separated enough that kids can sleep while others are still awake. Very quiet location and we all loved the quirky design of the house.

Lovely bachy feel. Beach is right there! Lots of sliding doors which was great for us and the kids to get in and out of. Loved this property.

This property is located right by the beautiful Ocean beach.

This property is located right by the beautiful Ocean beach. You can see the beautiful sunrise. The place comes with 2bunk beds, 2 double beds, fire place and gas bbq. Mobile phone connection is limited to spark and vodafone. We had a very pleasant stay, would love to come back again.
