Minimally sufficient at best

This property fit our family, but it is apparent this is an income property. The home has no air conditioning -- which we found out only days before checking in -- and only one small fan. Since I am asthmatic this resulted in significant breathing problems. There were 1 washcloth and 2 bath towels in each bathroom for a total of 3 washcloths and 6 towels for 9 people. We finally found more towels in a cabinet upstairs, but had to go buy washcloths. In the kitchen, there were no towels to dry or pot holders to cook with. Carpeting throughout the house had many stains. For a house this size, the amenities were very minimal.

Midway Point

We chose Richard's place both for the location and number of bedrooms. There was plenty of room for our large group with two bedrooms downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs. There are two hang out areas inside which are open to one another but far enough apart to hold seperate conversations. It is minutes from the San Mateo Bridge leading west and freeways leading east. We were just over half an hour away from South San Francisco, Half Moon Bay and the Tri-Valley, all of which were destinations during our stay. Richard was responsive and accomodating to our requests. The price was very reasonable for a place that accomodated so many people. There is plenty of parking in the garage, in the driveway and on the street. The kitchen is small and cabinets are dated, but it is functional and well stocked. All appliances are full sized and worked well, including a washer and dryer. Our only real con was the lack of towels in the 3 baths. There was 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person. We were told therecwere more towels in closets, but we never found them. Hand towels were missing and only 1 bath had a bath rug to step out into after a shower. Overall, we highly recommend this place and owner.

Comfy stay in Mount Eden

Richard's house is so spacious it's a delight to live in it. The beds are comfortable and the showers hot. It's in a quiet, safe neighborhood. There are stores within an easy distance. The BART station is also not too far away. A bonus is definitely the private backyard.

It was more than I had expected!

A little backstory, my family and I were expecting to fly out to San Diego for 4 days for a little mini vacation/ getaway. Unexpectedly our flights were canceled and we were so upset, its hard getting everyone in the same place at the same time so we decided to at least get together for a day. The host was so nice, communication was great and I felt welcomed from the beginning during our chats. He was also very accommodating with my family since we all drove from different places in the bay area. The home was beautiful, the bedrooms were big, clean and comfortable. It was a rainy day, so we tried to enjoy the huge backyard before the rain started pouring, then we moved to the garage for some family games and even our kids enjoyed the space. Id recommend this place for anyone with a big family, it was so enjoyable! thank you so much for sharing your home!
