Hostess with the mostest. The location was very pleasant. We were out in Yosemite all of the days, so we were able to enjoy it during the evening times. The spa was a little dirty the first day of the arrival (not complaining) but Mariam got on it right away and it was nice and clean by the second day of our stay. Mariam was so accommodating and friendly and really pays attention to details, you can tell this house is well loved. This house has so many amenities, I felt like I was staying at a family’s home. Definitely will book here again, already referred a few friends to this location. Great for small families. 10/10, local to everything and 25 minutes into Yosemite, with 1.5 hours to Verna Falls.

Loved staying at Vista chalet, close enough to Oakhurst that it was easy to get into town to restaurants, but far enough out that we were able to watch a beautiful night of stars from the hot tub! The home was extremely clean, beds were very comfortable, cabinets were labeled so that we could find everything and there was even a welcome bottle of wine. We enjoyed the fire pit table, the hot tub, watched a movie. Wish we could’ve stayed for a couple more nights. It was so comfortable. We will definitely book there again on our next trip out west.

My husband and I had such a fantastic stay! Compared to most homes we’ve rented, this one felt very well cared for and had so many little touches that made us feel welcome. Even seasonal decor! We loved that the house is close to shops, but on the edge of a neighborhood so it felt more private. We only used the primary bedroom, but the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was actually well stocked for a rental home! We were able to cook plenty of meals with the spices and cookware available, including baking cookies. The hot tub was a dream, and we loved having a meal on the deck after using the propane grill, watching the sunset. Tons of firewood available for the indoor fireplace too! We would 100% stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Friends Yosemite visit

Really nice place with a truly fully stocked kitchen there was even coffee! Best stocked kitchen including spices, coffee sugar for coffee, etc.No soap or shampoo in bathrooms. Adding that would be great. Note that there is a separate air conditioning control for the upstairs in the dining room.Yosemite valley was very crowded. Waited an hour and a half to get in the park in mid-June. Mariposa grove was incredible. Oakhurst is a great town with all necessities.

Beautiful cabin!

Vista Chalet is a very beautiful cabin-home with a very homey feel - it had all the comforts of home and then some! All of the extra touches of where to find things was greatly appreciated.

Absolutely perfect :)

This place was absolutely wonderful. I loved everything about it. It had so many cute fine little touches all around the house. All the amenities were perfect. Woke up to a wonderful morning making fabulous pancakes and toasted a glass of wine to a fabulous sunset around the fire pit. The hot tub was clean. The host was kind and compassionate. I would stay here again and again. I will definitely be back next year.Thank you .

Magical Cabin

Miriam is a great host and she thought of everything! Loved her large comfortable cabin. We enjoyed family time on deck with the cute fire pit table. Everyone loved the jacuzzi and ping pong table. The decor and BBQ were awesome too! Bass lake was close by with really fun live music. We enjoyed the train ride in Yosemite, we learned so much.. Thank you Miriam for being such a thoughtful owner! We hope to return someday!!

Excellent Home

Me and my family really enjoyed the stay here. The place was really quiet and calm. All amenities were and enjoyed them. One of the bed were slightly malfunctioning and it took some time to figure that out but other than that enjoyed completely.

Excellent stay for Yosemite!

Wonderful stay for our family vacation to Yosemite. This location gave us the convenience of being close to the park while still having dining options and perks of being close to a town. The house was wonderful and one of the most well stocked vacation rentals I have ever had. Plenty room for a family and still secluded enough to give you the mountain feel. Would recommend his rental to anyone!

Wonderful Cabin!

This cabin was perfect for our trip to Yosemite/Bass Lake. It is well equipped with all the features needed to make you feel at home. It is very well kept and we enjoyed the convenience of the Tesla wall charger. We will likely stay there again when we return to the area.

Home Away From Away

This property is amazing, and I would definitely stay here again if back in the area. The house was spotless, with a well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, comfortable beds and so many little touches and attention to details that just made it feel like home. The hot tub also felt amazing after a day of hiking in Yosemite. Highly recommend!!!

Great Oakhurst Cabin

This cabin had everything that our multigenerational group could ask for in a vacation home. Miriam our host is gracious and accommodating to a special request. We couldn’t ask for a better experience on our first trip to California. We found the people in the town of Oakhurst to be friendly and the cabin to be in a convenient location for daily provisions and then some. The best review that I can give is that I recommended this cabin to family members for their next vacation knowing that they won’t be disappointed in the choice.

Best place to stay!

This is an amazing property. Everything was clean and the house felt cozy and welcoming. The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of seasonings. We were sorry our stay was short and plan on returning.

Dieses Haus ist der Hammer! Sehr viel Holz, ein toller Kamin mit genügend Holzvorrat, die Einfassung mit großen Flusskieseln. Gemütliche Sofas, Sessel und Teppiche. Ein riesiger, massiver Holztisch mit einer Platte aus einem Stück auf einem Baumstumpf als Fuß. Eine große behagliche Küche mit allen Geräten und schönen Geschirr, modernen Töpfen. Gewürze, Balsamico, Olivenöl, Honig, alles, was das Herz begehrt! Schöne, gemütliche Schlafzimmer außreichend Platz für alle und alles. Draußen eine überdachter Sitzplatz als Terrasse mit gasbetriebenen Feuertisch und einem Jacuzzi. Alles gut und intelligent beleuchtet innen und außen. Im Keller, eine Pingpong Platte, Waschmaschine… Man spürt, dass das Haus auch persönlich genutzt wird. Absolute Empfehlung. This house is amazing! Lots of wood, a great fireplace with plenty of wood, the surround with large river pebbles. Comfortable sofas, armchairs and carpets. A huge, solid wooden table with a one-piece top on a tree stump as a base. A large, comfortable kitchen with all appliances and beautiful dishes, modern pots. Spices, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, everything your heart desires! Beautiful, comfortable bedrooms with enough space for everyone and everything. Outside, a covered seating area as a terrace with a gas-powered fire table and a jacuzzi. Everything well and intelligently lit inside and out. In the basement, a ping pong table, washing machine... You can feel that the house is also used personally. Absolutely recomme

Woodsy Paradise

Me and my friends had a great stay here. It was so close to Bass Lake and Wawona. It was nestled in the mountains and so it felt more rural than it is. The house is equipped with everything you need and more! The host was responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed staying here and hope to come back again.

Highly recommend this awesome cabin

This is such a cute home. It was decorated so nicely for Christmas. They left lots of yummy treats and had a well stocked kitchen. The beds and linens were all very nice. The location was excellent and felt private even though town was so close. Loved the fireplaces and the hot tub. Would go back in a heartbeat!

The Vista Chalet is an exceptional place to stay for quiet cabin days and easy access to the southern entrance to Yosemite. The host ensured we had everything we needed for our stay and included a personal welcome, treats, and lovely decorations for fall. We felt like we were staying at a friend's home. The hot tub was especially nice after long hikes, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and making coffee. We were able to roast marshmallows and do some bird watching from the deck. Though the house is on a mountain road, it is an quick drive to town for supplies. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful house

This was a beautiful property and perfect for our family. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Everyone had a great amount of space and it helped relax after days at the park. The road was a little rough getting up there but was doable in a minivan.

Great cabin for exploring Yosemite!

Loved this cabin! Our family of four joined forces with another family and set out to explore Yosemite for our first time. We were all SO happy to have stayed here during our trip!
