Welcome to Sail Away! A short 3 minute stroll will have your toes in the sand at the public beach access. Welcome to Sail Away! This newly renovated, handicap friendly three-bedroom, two and-a-half-bath vacation escape is just a short walk from the serene Youpon and Oak Island beaches. A short 3 minute stroll will have your toes in the sand at the public beach access. Sail Away is is equipped with a convenient ramp entrance and a first-floor handicap friendly master bedroom that includes a large walk shower with a ramp to accommodate wheelchairs. Moving to the second level, the first upstairs bedroom offers a queen bed with en suite bathroom and the third bedroom with two twin beds and a half bath shared with the upstairs hallway.

As you enter the home you are greeted by gorgeous and bright natural light vaulted ceilings with an open concept kitchen, living and dining area. There is a wraparound sundeck with patio chairs and rockers for hanging out and viewing the island surroundings. There is plenty of comfy seating for everyone to enjoy visiting and relaxing. A great kitchen and bar area for cooking up your favorite seafood dinner with some local fresh catches. Wake up and brew a cup of coffee or tea as you read the morning news with the sounds of island wildlife in the background. Four smart TVs are also included for your entertainment. A nice spacious shady yard to enjoy grilling out and relaxing after a long day by the beach. Outdoor amenities such as an enclosed outdoor shower with hot/cold water.

With new renovations to this beach cottage, it is sure to be a delightful haven for your next vacation. The Oak Island area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. Enjoy a stroll down the quiet sandy beaches and entrench yourself in the natural beauty of Yaupon and Oak Island beaches at Sail Away!

As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 night minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Close to the beach and mostly wheelchair-friendly!

We rented this house so that my mom who is in a wheelchair could come on vacation with us, and it mostly worked out! There was a ramp up to the door that was a bit steep, but we made it work. The shower, master bathroom and bedroom were awesome for her, and there was a wheelchair-accessible beach entry only 2 streets down. Unfortunately the house only had a hightop dining room table and a bar in the kitchen, neither of which worked for a person in a wheelchair to eat meals. The kitchen was lacking some basics, but the realty company managing the property was great and got us everything we needed super quickly. Overall it was a nice property and we had a great time at our favorite NC beach!

Close to the beach

This property was nice. The closeness to the beach and the ramp were the best parts. Only complaints were new mattresses are needed in the guest rooms and there needs to be more hooks and shelving in the bathroom. It was clean and had good kitchen supplies with the exception of a colander. I would stay here again.

Our Beach Trip🏖

We had a wonderful time at the home we chose on Oak Island! The accommodations were just what we expected. We all had plenty of space and had room to relax. We will recommend this area, home and company to others looking for rental properties.
