You can hear and see the ocean from 2nd-row dog-friendly 3B/2B (~1,076 sq ft), elevated, one-level cozy beach cottage with easy beach access right across the street. Sleeps 6. Covered front porch with four rocking chairs. The cleaning fee includes all bed, kitchen, and bath linens, you just need to bring your beach towels. Be sure to add your dog to your reservation so the $75 pet fee will be added. High-speed internet, smart TVs/Rokus, and less than 2 miles to restaurants, grocery, playground, splash pad, dog park, music in the park, etc. Fully stocked kitchen for those who like to save a little money and dine in.

Very pleased! The property was very clean and well stocked! Access to the beach was great. Since it rained a lot on Saturday, we utilized the rocking chairs on the front deck; we could actually see the ocean! The only minor problems: the main bath shower & sink drained slow; the sink in the main bath had very low pressure; a little more toilet paper would have been nice. Other than that I would definitely stay again & highly recommend to others!

The house was cute and fit our needs perfectly. Very well stocked, clean. Also, the landlord was very responsive and helpful! We did have an issue with the a/c unit and she was on it! She had someone out and had it fixed within 2 hours of reporting it! Great service!

Loved staying here! It was so close to the beach access, an easy 10min walk to restaurants, well stocked, and clean! Myself, my husband, another couple, their son, and our dogs all stayed here comfortably. Had a little bit of afternoon rain one day - but we enjoyed time to read on the deck and down in the hammock under the house. Kitchen was well stocked to make dinners.

Beach trip

We loved how close the house was to the beach access and how clean the house was. It was very spacious and we loved the front porch. The kids loved the house. The only thing we would suggest if you bring children with you is to bring some toys from home for your children.

Absolutely perfect!

One wk stay for retired couple and our labradoodle. Everything was perfect and true to the online description. House was clean and spacious- great deck and other outdoor space. Across the street from such a gorgeous beach and whole island is people and dog friendly. All the restaurants suggested by owner were soooo good. Access to beautiful beach could not have been better! Hope to return!

So close

Loved how close it was to the beach! Had everything we needed. Our black lab loved sitting on the front deck when he wasn’t in the ocean playing fetch. Great for our weekend getaway. Hope to return!

1st Time at Ruff Life

Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. Love this house right across the street from the beach. Especially loved the balcony with rocking chairs, spent a lot of time there reading and enjoying the ocean breeze. My dog loved the toys and treats there, and also loved lounging on the balcony. We will be back!

Perfect beach stay for people and dogs

Thank you Amy!This house is a perfect place for dogs and people who love dogs. The house was comfortable and squeaky clean. I thought maybe a “dog friendly” place might have a dog smell. Not at all. It was one of the cleanest places that I have stayed. And my dogs were comfortable. My brother and his wife stopped by and they raved about the place, and said they would love to rent the house in the future.

No Fuss Getaway

Great place to relax with your company and enjoy the quiet beach town. Simple, yet everything you’d need. Enjoyed the various sitting areas. Communication was easy and quick! Wonderful dog friendly beach. Great place to unwind for a few days.

Ruff life

Family get together. My wife, my dog, and I stayed at the home. It was fantastic. Dog beds in every room and it had everything you needed for kitchen and bath. Our dog loved it. Will definitely plan on coming back again.

Great Vacation Spot

The home was extremely clean and well located. I’ve stayed at several Oak Island vacation rentals but this was the best set up of all we’ve stayed. I would highly recommend for anyone’s vacation stay.

Memories were made

We had such an amazing stay here. To travel as far as we did for a beach vacation with family (roughly 4,700 miles), this house met every expectation and we couldn’t have been happier with it. It was clean, no bugs and the close beach access was the cherry on top.

Great House and Location

Perfect location on Oak Island. Steps to the beach, even good ocean views from the kitchen table for breakfast every morning. Whole house is dog friendly, and was clean. The front porch is fabulous for evenings and is has railings around it so our dog could go off leash while out with us. Expansive rear yard with plenty of "potty room". Great place!

Great for families and dogs!

You can’t beat the location across the street from the ocean! The public beach access is also right across the street. That was perfect for us taking our three children across the road to the beach. And the views were incredible! We loved waking up and seeing the beach out front every morning. At first, we weren’t sure if our sheets were dirty or clean, but we still had hair from the dryer. We decided to do a load of bedsheets the first night and found out they were dirty. They were clean and without hair after putting them through the washer and dryer. The floor may not have been swept or mopped either. Sand and hair covered our feet walking through the first time. Everything else, from the bathrooms to the kitchen and dishes, was spotless. However, we couldn’t help but wonder after having dirty sheets on the beds. The place was very comfy, and the beds were extremely comfortable! We loved the food and water dishes for dogs, the basket of dog toys, and the dog bed. They also have a crate folded under the main bed if you cannot bring one. Overall, it is a great place, and we had a wonderful stay! I feel like the cleanliness issues were more of a fluke, considering how well everything else went. I would recommend this place!
