Beautiful 80's style 3 br. beach house just a 5 min. walk to the beach.

Two story home in the heart of Oak Island. Minutes to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Large shaded front deck, covered porches and a spacious yard. The kitchen is fully stocked for in house cooking. There are three tvs with cable, Wi-fi and high speed internet.
Located on Middleton Ave., "Good Life" is right off of the bridge. You can see the ocean from the front yard. The house is close enough that town parking passes won't be necessary.
With three bedrooms and a pull out queen sofa bed in the Carolina Room, the sleeping arrangements are flexible. There is a king bed on the first floor. Linens are provided, along with a welcome package with the basics to get your beach vacation off to a good start.
While there are a lot of great dining options in OKI the kitchen is fully stocked if you want to cook and eat in. With 2 shrimp pots, pots and pans, and bake ware you can build a feast right in the comfort of your own home!
The two bathrooms are newly remodeled, along with most of the rest of the house.

Close to the beach

Okay stay for the money we paid, biggest pto close to the beach so easy access with that in mind. Not enough household items left for use for the week which we then had to buy. Owners are nice, more bugs than we would have liked and a bit dated. Amenities were good. Would recommend but for a cheaper price.

Family Vacation

Everything about the property was as expected and beyond. The host was exceptional with communication. Very close to the beach with a short walk, very clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything needed for cooking. The family enjoyed the stay and highly recommends.

Great Getaway

Perfect house for a beach vacation. Able to walk to the beach everyday, close to grocery stores, shops & restaurants. Neighborhood was nice & quiet. This is an ideal place for a family or friends vacation. My only complaint has everything to do with a personal situation…the first couple days I unfortunately suffered a horrible migraine & was bedridden. Even then though at least the rest of my family was able to stay busy enjoying themselves & the bed was really nice to rest comfortably in till I was back on my feet. I would definitely stay here again & would recommend it. My grandson loved the swing & thought the house was the coolest so it’s kid approved too. Great host!! Great house!!

Home at the Beach

My family and I were extremely pleased with our stay in this lovely home. We always take turns cooking on vacation, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The walk to the beach was not far, so we were able to go multiple times each day. The view crossing the Slough on the way to the beach was lovely, and the home was close to the attractions in Oak Island such as Veterans Park and Salt64 but was also a short drive to The Point. One of our favorite places to spend time together was in the air-conditioned sunroom where we put together puzzles off and on throughout the week.The homeowners were attentive during our stay. There was a problem with one of the breakers soon after we arrived, and the homeowners drove in from out of state right away to make sure the breaker was replaced. We couldn't have asked for better communication and service!

Almost perfect beach stay

The house was great for our family of 5. Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked. Linens were waiting on us inside the door. Washer and dryer were very handy. Beds were comfortable. Not a bad walk to the beach, but a walk that may be more than some would like.

Really nice place for a group of friends or family!! the place was a short walk away from the beach and very clean! Property management answered quickly the first time we had a minor issue & she was very helpful. We loved it!!

Very pleased with our stay!

The house was the perfect size for our family- 2 adults & 2 kids. There was plenty of room for the kids to play. It was a short walk to the beach, maybe 5 minutes. The owner was very good with communication and answered all of our questions. The house was well stocked- we had everything we needed to cook & keep it tidy. Neighbors were lovely. Overall we were very happy and fortunate to book this property last minute. Also, the kids loved the swing in the front yard!

Quaint, comfortable, and convenient cottage to put your toes in the water

We had a very nice stay at “The Good Life”. The property was amazingly convenient to the beach at Oak Island, our family favorite. We walked every morning to the beach, a short 5 minutes away. The property was cozy and perfect for our family of 4. Our teens each had their own room upstairs, and we (parents) had private space downstairs. We needed to cook, to accommodate a health condition in our family, and we found the kitchen to be well appointed for our needs. Everything was impeccably clean upon our arrival. This property is right on Middleton Avenue, which is an access road for Oak Island, but all was quiet and peaceful at the house. Except for the weekly rental turnaround time of 3-5pm on Saturday afternoon, the traffic was minimal…and completely unnoticed. There was a quiet and cozy office, and perfect WIFI, that would make for a great work from home getaway. Sign us up! Our host Steve was helpful, kind, and generous. We would definitely consider staying again!
