Beach house close to the ocean direct beach access

Leave your car parked for the the whole vacation! Want an easy walk to the beach? Want to be steps away from a great grocery store? Want walkability to shops? Would you like to be able to walk to a restaurant and bar? This house has it all! Newly renovated and ready to help make lasting memories. 75 yards to direct beach access next to Publix grocery and beach shops. Walkability score 10! Shady back yard with a picnic table perfect for grilling. My wife and I bought this lovely ranch style house with the thoughts of what and where we wanted our retirement place to be. We were inspired by the towns we visited in Northern Europe, where the citizens could walk to work, shop, and play. We didn't expect to find a place that we could have all that and still be steps away from the beautiful and uncrowded beaches that North Carolina offers, but we did. My wife and I welcome you into our home. From the centuries year old oak trees that offer shade from the summer sun in the back of our house, you can plan your next adventure while grilling out with our new gas grill. Play a game of corn hole, or just relax. Forget that special brand of coffee that would make it a perfect morning? No worries, head over to Publix and grab whatever you need. Don't worry about finding parking to get to the beach. Multiple great restaurants are an easy walk as well. You might just lose that brother-in-law for a few hours when he finds that sports bar a couple blocks away.

A possible day itinerary could be as follows. Wake up in the morning and walk over to scoops ice cream and donuts and pick up a dozen made to order gourmet donuts (eat one there before you go, the fresher, the better). grab a cup of coffee and walk over to the beach to see what the surf looks like. If there's some waves you and your family might want to go boogie boarding (boogie boards provided). around noon come on back to the house grill up some hamburgers. after lunch head back to the beach to soak up some sun or maybe go to one of the many shops nearby. For supper you can either have supper there at the house or go out to eat to one of the many great restaurants in the area. Don't forget to go to one of the many ice cream shops for evening dessert! My wife and I are here on the island to help you with anything that you might need.

Great house for our family of 4 to have a quick retreat to Oak Island. Quick walk to the beach and a grocery store so you can easily pickup anything you need. Good restaurants nearby also. Everything was clean and working well. AC kept us nice and cool on some hots days & nights, and WiFi was powerful enough for everyone to be on at night. Kitchen was stocked with a little bit of everything so we didn’t have to buy small items like coffee filters. Great stay and hosts quickly answered any questions we had.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach, grocery store and food. Bonus room was spacious. The entire house was clean. Plenty of beach chairs. Could provide a few chairs higher to the ground, for older folks. Highly recommend.

The house is absolutely adorable and super clean and cozy when we got there! Awesome host, super nice and great communication. On top of the great house, Publix and the beach were a short walk away which was beyond convenient. Will definitely be staying here if we come back to Oak Island!

Location was great! We could walk to the beach in 3 minutes and to Publix in 1. There was construction going on next door so there was a lot of noise as early as 7am. Also wish I had known the fridge ice maker was broken as I would have brought our countertop ice maker.

Wow, this home was just wonderful. Great location just a block from the beach and the Publix across the street. The beach gear provided was an added bonus. When it is available in the future, it will be our go to spot in Oak Island.

Vacation rescued

We had to adjust our vacation dates due to tropical storm Debby and the owners worked with us. We arrived to perfect weather, and a great little house so close to the beach! The house had everything we needed for a family vacation with kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to friends.

Wonderful beach rental

Family had a great time staying here. Two people in group had knee issues so this house was perfect. No steps and easy beach access. To reach the beach short walk down a level street and slight elevation through the sand at the end. House has comfortable beds, a great dining area and more roomy than it looks. Well stocked grocery store and several good restaurants near by.

Stopped for a quick overnight stay while travelling, so full of charm! Location, location, location!!! Great communication with property owner, equipped with chairs & beach wagon.
