  • Leave your car parked for the the whole vacation! Want an easy walk to the beach? Want to be steps away from a great grocery store? Want walkability to shops? Would you like to be able to walk to a restaurant and bar? This house has it all! Newly renovated and ready to help make lasting memories. 75 yards to direct beach access next to Publix grocery and beach shops. Walkability score 10! Shady back yard with a picnic table perfect for grilling. My wife and I bought this lovely ranch style house with the thoughts of what and where we wanted our retirement place to be. We were inspired by the towns we visited in Northern Europe, where the citizens could walk to work, shop, and play. We didn't expect to find a place that we could have all that and still be steps away from the beautiful and uncrowded beaches that North Carolina offers, but we did. My wife and I welcome you into our home. From the centuries year old oak trees that offer shade from the summer sun in the back of our house, you can plan your next adventure while grilling out with our new gas grill. Play a game of corn hole, or just relax. Forget that special brand of coffee that would make it a perfect morning? No worries, head over to Publix and grab whatever you need. Don't worry about finding parking to get to the beach. Multiple great restaurants are an easy walk as well. You might just lose that brother-in-law for a few hours when he finds that sports bar a couple blocks away.

    A possible day itinerary could be as follows. Wake up in the morning and walk over to scoops ice cream and donuts and pick up a dozen made to order gourmet donuts (eat one there before you go, the fresher, the better). grab a cup of coffee and walk over to the beach to see what the surf looks like. If there's some waves you and your family might want to go boogie boarding (boogie boards provided). around noon come on back to the house grill up some hamburgers. after lunch head back to the beach to soak up some sun or maybe go to one of the many shops nearby. For supper you can either have supper there at the house or go out to eat to one of the many great restaurants in the area. Don't forget to go to one of the many ice cream shops for evening dessert! My wife and I are here on the island to help you with anything that you might need.

The house was clean, it is an ideal location so close to the beach and the grocery store and great restaurants! It was the perfect little getaway for our family! The hosts were so kind and great with any communication!

We enjoyed our stay so much at this beautiful house! Very close to the beach. Was in reasonable walking distance that our young children had no problems walking back and forth between the house and beach entrance. Right across the road from Publix and within walking distance to the park, and very many other restaurants and other stores. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone and plan to stay again!

The house could use some updating, but it is clean and comfortable. The beach and grocery store are both easy walks from the house. The beds are comfortable, and the TV is huge. Being a rancher was very convenient for us. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again.

We had such a wonderful vacation. The beds are comfy and showers are hot. It's exactly what the listing says. The hosts allowed us to check in about an hour early as we arrived early. The house is in an excellent location too.

The house is absolutely adorable and super clean and cozy when we got there! Awesome host, super nice and great communication. On top of the great house, Publix and the beach were a short walk away which was beyond convenient. Will definitely be staying here if we come back to Oak Island!

Stopped for a quick overnight stay while travelling, so full of charm! Location, location, location!!! Great communication with property owner, equipped with chairs & beach wagon.
