This comfortable and spacious 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom home (BR1:1K, BR2:4T, BR3:1Q 1F sleeper sofa) offers plenty of space for family fun, dining and good ole’ rest and relaxation. After all, this is your vacation and you deserve to stay in a wonderfully updated second row cottage with granite countertops, stainless appliances, tile floors and beachy all the way! Resting on an oversized lot, All is Whale is perfect for endless games of cornhole, frisbee or the game of your preference. The King bedroom has a private bathroom and walk-in shower while the Queen bedroom has a cozy reading chair. Take a stroll on the beach with your dogs, surf fish for your dinner, take a nice outside shower, ride bikes down to the Point, load a kayak into the slough, or just relax with cold drinks – this HOME & LOCATION HAVE IT ALL! Plenty of parking space and located a short distance from the Middleton Bridge for easy trips to Southport, Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. The house was hot, when we arrived. We were hoping the air conditioning was just trying to catch up with the heat of the day. I called the office to let them know. We went out for dinner when we got back it was even hotter. The office said power was out while we were gone. But it came back on. So that night we melted and didn’t sleep. Next day I called back to make sure someone was coming to check ac. They came out and said ac unit was bad needed replacing. You could tell the ac unit had been neglected for years and not serviced. The next day window units were installed. The house was still hot. Ice maker didn’t work, and there were ants in the bathroom and a stain in the shower.

House needs attention

The electrical outlets need to be checked . Several of the outlets are coming out of the wall. Driveway needs gravel, it is sand based and it gets on everything. Very hard to keep from tracking it into the house. The rugs were full of sand when we arrived. I had to clean floors before I unpacked.

Great House and very close to beach

We really enjoyed this beach house . It was one of the best that we have stayed at . We enjoyed how spacious it was. We loved how close it is to the beach. You can sit on the porch and just enjoy the view of the ocean/sounds of ocean . We will definitely stay here again

Great house, conveniently located and easy walk to beach. Clean, easy check-in process. Spacious layout and lots of seating area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Beautiful Beach House

We enjoyed our stay at this beach house. It is a second row beach house that is just steps from the public beach entrance. The house had all of the basic amenities that we needed during our stay and it was pet-friendly. We had a great time!

Perfect place for a spring weekend at the beach

My husband ,sister and Brother-in-law and I stayed here for the weekend. The interior is very nice, comfortable and clean. Will definitely remember this place for a future trip to Oak Island.

Great Location, and views.

I typically don't write reviews but feel this was needed. Our vacation was for a family get together with parents in their 80’s. Beach house was advertised with Wifi and Laundry. We could not get internet or TV stations or do our laundry with extreme rain during the 1st two days we were there. When calling the office to request some help. I was told someone would be by later. Early evening I called back and I was told the house was sold. The locks were changed for downstairs laundry and internet services had been changed by new Internet carrier by new owners purchasing home. I was working during the time I was there so it was an inconvenience not having WIFI and not being able to do our laundry. I also called to book an extra night which management and they accommodated but my parents paid for the extra night. Management should had offered some type of discount to them for all of our inconveniences. I have booked with them many other occasions and for several years. I never got a returned call to to rectify the situation.

The house was great, property management not so!

House was as listed and we loved it. However, when we received our confirmation it stated linens were included. There were no linens when we arrived on Saturday evening. I called the linen company, Sharon’s Linens, and she worked with us until 10:45 pm finally bringing us basic linens because she couldn’t get in touch with Coastal Vacations to find out why we weren’t on her list. I called on Monday and they said they would have the proper person return my call (which is the same person I emailed twice about it on Saturday and Sunday). I never received a return call. I called on Tuesday and was finally able to speak with someone who said I received the wrong confirmation, our house never comes with linens. This was just something we shouldn’t have had to deal with on vacation, I would’ve taken my own if I would’ve been given the right information from the beginning.

Pictures do not do this place justice!

What a joy to stay at All Is Whale! This place is fresh and bright and beautiful. It was spacious, too, which our fur baby loved. Great location, just a short walk to the beach across the street.
