Please note: No children under 12 years old. There is an unfenced lake in the grounds.. Set back slightly from the lake, Lillie’s Hut at Shepherd’s Lodge enjoys elevated views across the water and out to the rolling countryside beyond, with Belvoir Castle visible on the horizon. With its sunny aspect and peaceful setting near the soothing sounds of a small waterfall, Lillie offers a bright and cheerful retreat. Decorated in a calming blue, with playful chicken and rooster-themed soft furnishings, the hut has a fresh and uplifting atmosphere that makes it a joy to return to after a day of exploring.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable double bed with star-lit ceiling, crisp bedlinen, wall lights, and a flat-screen TV for relaxing evenings in. The kitchen is smartly designed with oak worktops and stylish blue cabinetry, complete with all the appliances, and all the utensils you need for an easy self-catering stay. The en-suite shower room offers a full-sized cubicle, heated towel rail, fluffy towels, countryside views and complimentary toiletries. A cosy living area with a wood burner, upholstered seating, foldaway table, and underfloor heating ensures comfort year-round. Outside, guests can unwind at the picnic table, light the BBQ, or soak under the stars in the private, wood-fired hot tub.

Shepherd’s Lodge sits in the unspoilt Vale of Belvoir, where Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire meet. The area is a haven for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers, with gentle country lanes, footpaths, and charming villages to explore. Just a short distance away is Belvoir Castle, a striking landmark offering seasonal events and historical interest.

Next door, The Engine Yard is a boutique retail and foodie destination with cafés, delis and craft shops.
