This photo was taken where the Klondike Highway crosses the Yukon Railway. This railway, from Whitehorse to Skagway, follows the old Yukon gold rush path and was the only way to travel to Skagway by land until the Highway was built in 1976. Lynn and I rented a Jeep in Skagway and spent the day driving into Canada. #GreatOutdoors #Perspectives

It was a pretty port town that was to see us from the train to our ferry down the Inside Passage. This was as close as I was going to get to the Haida Gwaii (formerly the Queen Charlotte Islands). Maybe next time. #ports #ferry #boats
